Salam Alaikum

I just saw on QTV that a tafsir that is attributed to have been written by Seyyidina Ghawthe A3zdham radi Allahu 3anhu, has been recently published from Istanbul.

I have never heard of a tafsir being written by the blessed Ghawth.

How credible is this news, if someone knows about this?

This wahabi forum says it has been "discovered" by a Naqshbandi "Haqqani". (Nazim al-Qubrusi and his boys).

Any info will be appreciated. JazakumAllahu khayraa

will the information you seek benefit you towards your akhira?

that forum is more than a wahabi forum

These are the various titles that the various Turkish forums attribute to him

These are two of them:

15) Kitabi fi usuliddin

17) Kitabı hamse i Geylani

Nowhere is a tafsir attributed to him.

@wadood: yes it will. if the news is confirmed, I intend to source the tafsir and peruse it bi idhnillah.

what real purpose does the sentence above serve? and then emphasis on the name in the brackets

you cannot slither your way through like a shameless person. have some integrity, be bold. Say it out loud.

your pursuing bi idhnilAllah is a joke.

There was a group of scholars from Syria and Lebanon who visited India in search of the manuscript of the tafsir by Shaykh Abdal Qadir al Jilani al hasani wa husayni (Rd). The same group has published this tafsir. They were in India to see if they can get any other manuscript of the same work. But they didn't get any such manuscript in India.

One need to check if any tafsir by the Shaykh is mentioned by Hazi Khalifah in Kashf al zunoon or by his contemporary scholars.

see my post history mate. my views on nazim al-qubrusi are not a secret on this forum; i consider him as a misguided heretic (along with that hisham kabbani character) who has nothing to do with Ahlus Sunnah or Sufism and DELIBERATELY works to make a disgusting and disgraceful mockery of Islam, Ahlus Sunnah and tasawwuf (i don't expect anyone to subscribe to my opinion of this anti-Sufi cult). perhaps you might have missed it when you asked the mods to ban you. if at all he/his team is involved in it, then it is obvious, i will have very good reason to doubt the authenticity of such a work. i did not want to bring this point (regarding mr. nazim al-qubrusi) on this thread as this is not the place for it. i only mentioned the wahabi forum because that is the only place on the net that i found the mention of such a tafsir, and it credits the finding to these people, which may or may not be the truth - and i just wanted to know what's what.

hope that adequately establishes a firm grounding in shamefulness and integrity for me. peruse; pursue

An Urdu translation of the same (or similar work) is under publication in Pakistan. I saw an ad/blurb of this ongoing translation at the back of an Urdu book I browsed recently. I will need to dig my memory for more details.

I don't know the authenticity of this tafsir, but the impression I had was that the tafsir has been "compiled" from several lectures of Sayyidna Ghawth Azam's (RadiAllahu Anhu) as collected under various books such as Fath ar-Rabbani, Futuh al-Ghayb etc.

Dr. Syed Mohammed fadil al-jilani has researched and printed the tafsir al-jilani from three different manuscripts. there are slight variations in some words but they are copyist errors. in the introduction the researcher exaplains its authentication. however, manuscrpts found in various countries were the source of the tafsir and not collected from other books by ghaus al-azam. the tafsir avoids altogether any names of people. it just focuses on the spiritual interepretations. there is no mention of individuals except for a couple of places where it mentions ahl al-bayt- panjtan paak. i bought my copy from outside jamia al-azhar.

i will write in detail later.

i saw the site at the bottom of the picture posted by ghulam e ghaus.

this is what one of the members called 3abd al-3aziz bin 3abd ar-rahman ad-daamir, on the site has said regarding it.

any comments from major/prominent 3ulema?

i also saw it listed on another site after a google search (arabic):

in the monthly sunni awaz which is published from bradford, i believe; the back page had an advert for the translation of tafsir e jilani into urdu by mufti abdu'r rasul mansur al-azhari of redditch, near birmingham.

Assalamu 'alaykum,

I was made aware of this tafsir a while ago, and asked al-Baz, USA for verification ... they told me clearly that this tafsir has not been authored by Sayyadina Ghawth al-Adham, Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu.
