A Scholarly Analysis of Haq Chaar Yaar in the light of Mantiq, Balaagha and Nahw

Saqib Shami sahib refers to Abdul Qadir Shah as Mufakkir e Islam. Of course, this is an old video, maybe before AQS went totally off the rails.

Anyway, I've only watched 20 mins yet and from 11mins, he makes a good point that there is no ijma'a of rhetoricians that khabar coming before mubtada denotes hasr necessarily. If no ijma'a, why force the issue?

Conversely, Abdul Qadir Shah at the same time says there is no ijma'a on tafdil al-shaykhayn so its denier won't be a deviant!

I'm no expert in grammar but this sounded like a pretty solid reply to those who reject Haq Chār Yār.

I was told that a speaker recently said along the lines of: 'those who say haq char yar and haq sab yar are simply two groups and it has no bearing on aqidah.'

Per se, it doesn't. But understanding issues is more than scratching surfaces.

Those who raise haq sab yar do so in opposition to haq char yar. Why would anyone of sound Sunni aqidah do so...?

It's not two groups. It's two sects. Sunnis raise haq char yar and closet shiah oppose it and say haq sab yar.

Mawlana Ata Muhammad Bandyalwi wrote: only a rafidi will oppose haq char yar.

Speakers should drill down into issues and not just look at the apparent. It's only tafdilis who oppose haq char yar so again, it's not two groups with some personal issues—it's two different sects—sunni and shiah.

Ustad al-Kull Állāmah Átā Muhammad Bandyālwī writes:

'The one who forbids Na'arah Tahqīq Haq Chār Yār is a rāfidī and hypocrite (munāfiq). In fact, this slogan takes precedence over and is superior to the slogans of Haydarī and Ghawthiyyah. No rightly guided Sunni would ever prohibit it because Haq Chār Yār is the age old emblem and hallmark of Ahl al-Sunnah. And whoever calls himself Sunni yet interdicts this slogan, then he is an inner rāfidī and is feigning Ahl al-Sunnah as taqiyyah (disguising).'
