Request for a translation of a poem by ala hazrat

assalamu alaykum!
assalatu wa assalamu alayka Ya Sayyidi Ya Rasool Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم

I apologise to any brothers whom I have ever offended in any way on sunniport. Please
forgive me and do dua for me. To those brothers who thought I was too much of a freethinker and displayed too many non-Sunni traits/behaviour/attitudes -- "if I am as you say may Allah forgive me and if I am not may Allah forgive you!" My brothers-- I hope we meet again. But I need a long lay off to do more productive work and insha Allah try to complete some personal projects and a damn lot of reading and to gather my own thoughts! I apologise also to TiI for not completing the naat translation as promised and only doing the first half. I request sidi AH to finish off my translation.

ab jaate hain butkaday se Meer
phir milengay agar Khuda laaya!

Meer Taqi "Meer", 19th Century Urdu poet from Delhi

We leave the idol-house now O' Meer
We'll meet again if God brings me back!

9. Siyaah libasan e dar dunya o sabz poshaan e arsh e aala
Har ik hai unkay karam ka pyaasa, yeh faiz on kii janaab mein hai

The people of this world attired in black and the green-robed denizens about the Throne
Every one thirsts for his grace, this blessing is for him alone!

10. Gul hain labhaaye naazuk, in kay hazaaroN jhaRtey hain phool jin say
Gulaab gulshan mein dekhay bulbul, yeh dekh gulshun gulaab mein hai!

His delicate lips are roses, from which fall thousands of flower-like words
The nightingale has seen a rose in a rose-garden; look here -a rose-garden in a rose!

[this is one of my most favourite verses of Ala Hazrat! Beautiful metaphor for the speech and eloquence of the Master ﷺ]

11. Jalii hai sooz-e-jigar say, jaan tak hai taalib e jalwa-e-mubarak
Dikhaa do voh lab keh Aab e haivaaN ka lutf jin kay khitaab mein hai

My soul, scorched even by the burning in my heart*, still seeks his blessed vision
Show me those lips, in whose speeches, lies a joy akin to the Water of Life!

(subhan Allah!)

12. KhaRay hain Munkir-Nakir sar pe, na koii haamii na koii yaawar!
Bataa do aa kar mere Payambar keh sakht muskhkil javaab mein hai!

Munkir and Nakir stand at my side, I have no helper, no succour!
Come and tell them, O' my Prophet, for I am having great difficulty in answering (their questions)!

13. Khudaaye Qahhaar hai, ghazab par khulay hain badkaariyoN kay daftar
Bachaa lo aa kar, Shafi e Mahshar, tumhara banda azaab mein hai!

In the Presence of God the Subduer, my register of deeds is open at the page marked, 'sin';
Come and rescue me, O' Intercessor of Judgment Day, your slave is being punished!

14. Kareem aisa mila, ke jis kay khulay hain haath aur bharay hain khazanay!
Batao, ay mufliso! Kyon tumhaara dil iztiraab mein hai?

We have such a Merciful patron, whose treasure-chests are full and hands generous in giving!
Tell me, O poor and needy souls! Why then are your hearts so troubled?!

15. Gunaah kii taariikiyaan yeh chaeN, umanD kay kaalii ghaTaaiN aayein
Khuda kay Khursheed, mihr farmaa ke zarra bas iztiraab mein hai

The darkness of my sins is enveloping, black clouds gather over my hopes
O' Sun of the Divine, be kind if even an atom of my being is troubled!

16. Kareem apnay Karam sadaqa e Layyam bay qadr ko na sharmaa
Tu aur Raza say hisaab lena? Raza bhi koii hisaab mein hai?

O Gracious Lord, for the sake of Thy Grace, do not make this powerless sinner ashamed!
You and take account of Raza? Is Raza worthy of any account?!

---

Hope you like it! May Our Prophet do shafaa for all of us, sinners and saints alike for the sake of Ala Hazrat -- may this translation be accepted! (Sorry for the delay and for any mistakes!)

SubhanAllah Ma shaa Allah Azzawajal

Can i please ask if we can have more of Ala Hazrat's* Kalam translated into English; if you have time please do translate...JazakAllahu khayran.

*Rahmatullahi Ta'ala Alayh
