Can anyone provide a commentary of this hadith found in the Sahih of Imam Bukhari (I'm told) in light of the concept of 'collateral damage': Narrated as-SaĆb bin Jaththama: The Prophet passed by me at a place called al-Abwa or Waddan, and was asked whether it was permissible to attack the pagan warriors at night with the probability of exposing their women and children to danger. The Prophet replied, "They are from them." --- As it would outwardly appear from this hadith that if women and children were interspersed amongst the enemy, then killing them 'by accident' is excused. Allah knows best. Can someone shed light on this?
For years the top wahabi abu zubayr in the UK has been promoting killing of non-combatants as collateral damage. The non-muslims have no problem with collateral damage, and so does islam he says. His argument is "don't target non-combatants intentionally", but if they are killed as collateral damage, islam has no qualms with that. But this is a contradiction. When you can see that non-combatants will definitely be killed on the side, it is deliberately (they say intentionally ) killing them. I find these wahabis are in-line with the enemies of our faith. No matter how intellectual they try to be, they are the among the dumbest people. They have no shame in using phrases invented by enemies of our faith, and they have no shame in believing whatever the enemy of our faith says. As such, it really seems they are partners with the enemies of our faith.
