Saqib Shaami Sahib in South Africa

I feel that the post by brother @kaydani1 is uncalled for. It demonstrates the reason as to the emergence of so many deviant ideologies.

A pressing matter is being dealt with, for a program that will occur this Sunday (28/02/2016), and yet we are sidetracked by the authenticity of the Shaykh.

Whilst I do not hold any allegiance to the Shaykh, I'm not about to begin publicly criticizing him on issues that extend beyond my sphere of knowledge. The bare truth is that Pirs these days are not of the standard of those that preceded our era. I still however do appreciate that the Shaykh is an Alim, and holds the correct belief (Aqida). As highlighted by the posts below, he has guided many a minhaji, and maintained the Aqida of his followers. This to me, is still good work...

Brother @Abu al-Qasim, you should contact the mureed of the Shaykh, and brother @kaydani1, for the sake of unity please remove the inflammatory post.

What I don't understand is why Sunnis have to bend their backs for Juhala'. Again and again, we see Sunnis falling prey to fake Pirs.

Most young Sunni brethren who end up becoming Salifified/Wahhabified tend to point out fake Pirs being a "Sunni/Barelwi" issue, when in fact, the reality is far from it. Saqib is not a scholar, so why do we exalt him to the status of one? We have had a very informative thread on this forum regarding cult mind control by brother @Moriarty, wasn't that sufficient to identify Saqib as a class cult leader. C'mon, stop kidding yourselves and please get some sense. Why do we boost the fake Pirs, and then a few years down the line start bashing the same guy?

Oh, and I am not saying this only about Saqib, but all of the fake Pirs and cult leaders out there. This is an endemic in the Sunni community. We see this in the subcontinent, as well as the Sunni communities in the UK and west in general.

 

My sentiments exactly brother, he should be informed. I'm maintaining a good opinion of him, in that he does not know, until news of the contrary comes to light.

 

I have no interest in participating in subsidiary issues surrounding the Shaykh. This however is a pressing issue that should be accorded its due priority.

Brother Abu al-Qasim is correct, but not entirely. The organization that is bringing the Shaykh is 100% sunni. However, the family that is hosting the Shaykh in Durban are ALL high-profile Minhaj supporters. I have posted pictures from the 7th of Feb showing this. Please take the time to view them.

If any of you are able to communicate this to the Shaykh, please assume the responsibility, if not....

 

He wasn't a murid of Mawlana Ilyas Qadiri Sahib, as far as I know. But yes, he was a member of DI and at that time he never used to trim his beard below fist length. This is quite common knowledge. Allah Almighty knows best why he left DI but I don't believe he should be faulted for this, many 'ulama have done so before and after him. DI as a tehrik is not perfect, it was his own choice to leave, perhaps he had valid reason to; in any case there's no compulsion in such matters.

 

As for him being called over by a family which supports Tahir, is it not possible that he is not aware of their affiliation to/support of Tahir? Also, if indeed this is a family of Minhaj supporters, then is every single person from amongst this family a Minhaj supporter? Or is it possible that he is being called over by one from amongst them who is not a supporter of Tahir/Minhaj? If indeed they are all Minhajis and they really are calling him to South Africa, then should be asked about whether he knows they are, and if he doesn't then the reality of these people should be made manifest to him. Then if he refuses one would have grounds to condemn him.

I asked somebody and it seems to be that he has not been invited to South Africa by this Tarmohammed family, rather they are aiding in arranging one of his talks there. If this is the case then, again he should be informed about the evil actions and past of these people. Mawlana Saqib has made his stance clear on the unity of all sects/sulh e kuliyyat many times in his talks.

 

He views Tahir at the very least as misguided - this much I know for certain, he may even consider him as kafir. I sat in a private gathering once with Pir Saqib Sahib at the house one of his murids and he exhorted his muridin there to stay away from Tahir ul-Qadiri and people of his like. I have yet to hear him doing so publicly though. Though I believe he may be taking the same route as Mawlana Ilyas Qadiri Sahib and Dawat e Islami to not refute innovators publicly and by name but just to offer the ruling on these individuals and groups generally.

Many of his muridin in Paris are also ex members of Minhaj ul Quran. After taking bay'ah with Saqib Sahib a lot of them were told of the misguidance of Tahir and instructed to leave Minhaj ul Quran.

Also, you are free to talk with Habib Jaami Saqibi, he is on Facebook by that name, he is one of Mawlana Saqib's closest murids, since the very start when he began to take bay'ah. A brother I know approached him a month or so ago to ask about Saqib Sahib's views on Tahir. He said that he is a misguided individual and one who misguides others and Pir Sahib does not consider him a Sunni, in line with the rest of the 'ulama of ahl e sunnat.

You are free to confirm this all for yourself janab Chisti-Raza Sahib. I would post the link to his FB profile but I have a feeling it may be against the rules you can find him easily by searching his name though.

Diaclaimer: I am not a murid or partisan of Mawlana Saqib Sahib and I know there are some subsidiary issues in regards him and I don't agree with him on those points either. However I believe that he is Sunni sahih al-'aqidah, hence why I felt the need to post.

 

This Tarmahommed family are MINHAJI supporters and there steadfast support for them turned out to be POLITICAL SUICIDE in SUNNI CIRCLES in the eighties and early nineties.

While you at it , you can ask the honourable PIR saheb if he is HANAFI and if he considers salaah of HANAFI behind him correct considering his short beard?

Assalaamu Alaikum

 

I am told Saqib used to be part of DI in the UK.
After returning from studies in Syria he returned with the new topi, shorter beard, left DI.
Can anyone shed some light on the above, is it factual?

 

1. He is attending the sufi conference in India with Ninowy ( the same Ninowy who was on stage at the PEACE CONFERENCE WEMBLEY) along with many others ( as per their website).

2. His hosts in South Africa is the same family that are staunch propagators of the DEVIANT PADRI.

I pray he distances himself from any conference or family that supports DEVIANTS.
I pray for him to be a guide for the masses away from all the eloquent DEVIANTS out there.
I pray he makes amends for any of his apparent shortcomings and becomes a true leader for the masses.
