I think an aalim or someone who is able to should take into account the responses Ninowy has made since some of those accusation lists were compiled.

For example there are videos of him rejecting the narrations of the 73 sects as weak or fabricated "according to scholars" 10 years ago but there have come videos of him discussing the same narrations as if he has no issue with them.

If there are things he has done and is being accused of, these reformed "views" should be addressed too.

 

they should sit with him and discuss these issues tbh, he may provide some insight. he's not a rafidhi, he's very knowledgable and as someone who is local to him, he too would like to discuss the critiques people have of him

 

Not to mention minister Ebrahim Rasool accused of letting his daughter (who married a hindu convert) perform all hindu marital rituals like walking around the fire etc.

Correction: the applicant's husband is Ibrahim Hussain Chisti.

 

The alleged complainant isn't off scott free either. He was an Imam at a 'Barelvi' Masjid in the GTA for some time. As it turns out he too had Deo sympathies.

 

Everything happens for a reason, Alhamdulillah now we have actual evidence , my summary was wrong but it wasn't meant as a vindication rather proper protocol until further evidence was /is brought out.

He retracts antroporphic believe and says it's kufr in his commentary of Aqidah tahawiya...although I think he mis- translated Tashbih as Anthropomorphism when tajsim is anthropomorphism

 

In all honesty, all the points brought up in both sources all seem to be among the domain of scholastic dispute, I am not endorsing him but clearly through "his ijtihad (I'm using this term loosely) be it weak according to our pious predecessors and majority of ahlul sunnah, along with his other historical depiction of ummayad (post khilafat rashida till and including the Abbasid)anti-ahlul bayt agenda, that is something agreeable and open to interpretation.

I remember there being an meeting in South Africa upon Sh Ninowy's visit(posted here ~ but please correct me if I'm wrong), where The Scholars of Ahlul Sunnah discoursed and Sh Ninowy retracted/repented from the problematic beliefs And this assembly was dates recently (much later than these sources mentioned by our brothers here).

What i'm saying is the methodology of digging in the past history and statements of people and incorrect belief, pre-repentance, is not an appropriate methodology to adhere to, everyone deserve a chance of a clean slate, and the mercy of the Prophet ﷺ is embodied by Ahlul Sunnah Wal Jama'at.

This is neither an endorsement, nor a vindication of this scholar in specific, rather my comment on the bleakness of comments made out of the zeal and mahabbah of Ahlul Sunnah, but this approach is acceptable/understandable from qualified individuals (the ulama and advance students knowledge here), but detrimental and disconnected with the demeanor of students of Ahlul Sunnah, more specifically those who claim to be on a path of tariqah or tasawwuf.
