What would be the hukm if he meant the word origin in a relative sense, particularly: that since the face has the blessed mouth which utters the recitation of the Qur'ān, our receiving of the Qur'an (in terms of the Kalām Lafẓī) came from his blessed face .

He proceeds to mention tilāwat in the next line so I wonder if recitation by the lips is perhaps what he meant in the first.

if the poet meant asl qur'an - real qur'an, then it is obviously kufr.
if the poet mean asl e qur'an - the origin of the qur'an, then it is kufr too.

    nas'alu Allah al-aafiyah.

besides, it appears to be asl-e-qur'an for the wazan; asl-qur'an breaks it. (i am not a poet; those with knowledge of poetry may please correct me if i am wrong).

If it's asl Quran, it means the real Quran.
Asl e Qur'an means origin of the Quran.

Naql e kufr kufr na bashad

Some people read a couplet which obviously isn't by Alahazrat:

Chehra e Mustafa asl e Quran hai
Ashiqon ki tilawat pe lakhon salam

Asl e Qur'an is itself kalimah e kufr because Qur'an is kalam of Allah as is obvious to any sunni.

The poet has no idea that the implication is: RasulAllah sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam is the origin of the sifat / Divine Attribute of Speech. Al-iyadhu billah.

    This couplet must be avoided.
