chess makruh? i read hafidh ibn hajar 'asqalani loved chess? http://masud.co.uk/ISLAM/ahm/bari.htm chess isn't a game of luck, is it? what would make something makruh tahrimi? a hadith of our master 'alaihis salam mentions only 3 sorts of playing are allowed. i think they are horseriding archery playing with one's wife is this taken literally? can we not play, eg, football? i know it's for enjoyment but it does keep one fit. i did read that the beloved sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam raced with his dear wife Sayyida 'Aisha radiyallahu ta'ala anha.
