A fiqhi seminar takes place in Bareilly Hind every year all the senior scholars attend and discuss contemporary issues and they issue their verdicts on the strongest opinion. It is a great annual event al hamdulillah.
Allama Sharif alHaqq Amjadi rahimahuAllah Sharih alBukhari was one of the founders of these seminars. They have produced excellent works.
c-r, the monthly ashrafia has a whole issue, once a year, dedicated to that year's seminar. if we could at least get the summarised decisions if not the whole, lengthy discussion.
I will try to source some of the Ashrafia seminar scripts. The problem that I found is that these reports are more suited for Ulama and are generally in Arabic. I had the Bareilly scripts once [can't seem to be find it] and thought that it would be nice to translate them but they were too complex. Maybe brother Noori has access to the Ashrafia scripts?
edit mod [aqdas]: look, can people stop hijacking threads that may be productive? you seem to be able to turn every thread into highlighting inter-sunni disagreements and just love to publicise our every matter of contention, even if minute? when will sunnis learn the difference between usuli and furu'i disagreements? if you have nothing useful to say, stay quiet. from now on, if i think any post is just adding fuel to the fire, i will delete it and ban members if they continue. sunniyat is not the monopoly of bareilly or anywhere else or any particular shaykh.
i believe it is an annual event where the leading muftis of india get together and discuss contemporary issues. i think there have been nearly 15 of these seminars to date. does anyone know if the decisions made in some/all of these seminars have been collated or can be found on one website? obviously, the seminars main attendee is the mufti par excellence, mufti nizam al-din ridawi, perhaps the greatest faqih in the world today.
