abu Hasan in the eyes of others

mawlana abu hasan is a lover of ala hazrat in the true sense.

the general mass love ala hazrat due to the common reasons: he saved our aqida, he imbedded ishq e rasool in our hearts, he unmasked the deviants and held high the flag of the ahlus sunnah in a time when it was most needed. i mean we all love ala hazrat because of this. yet, mawlana abu hasan has gone deeper and studied in detail the works of ala hazrat, learning from his books, picking up the nuances and subtleties involved in islamic sciences; i would go so far as to say that he has even learnt skills such as critical analysis, logical reasoning, breaking down fallacious arguments and picking them apart all from the works of sayyidi ala hazrat, as it is clear from his own works.

he has imitated ala hazrat in the sense of being harsh and unequivocal upon the deviants yet soft and compassionate towards his own. he has always been at the forefront in dealing with new fitnas when they have arisen: on the matter of afdalliya, imkan al-kadhib, kellerian fitna, perrenialism, pseudo-hanafism, salafism, mubarakpuri-sulahkulliyat. not only did mawlana sahib refute them but he did so in such a manner that no place was left for these fitnas to hide.

mawlana sahib has never hesitated to refute any individual or group based on fear of repercussions or that others may not like him anymore.

there are hardly any posts where one doesn't get to learn new things or relearn things in a clearer, more logical manner.

All praise is to Allah for his uncountable favours, especially the favour of upright knowledgeable pious ulema and mawlana abu hasan is undoubtedly one of them!

 

I would like to echo what everyone has just said, truly he is the pride of this forum. I have been a regular viewer of this forum since perhaps it started and brother Abu Hasan's posts were all that I used to visit the forum for. After several years of being a viewer did I finally sign up to an account.

I have several times done sincere dua from my heart for brother Maulana Abu Hasan. May Allah make him continue on this path and keep him always firm on the truth.

I have had the honor of meeting him; this man is truly humble and very hard working; he shies from fame; the pseudonym he uses is to hide from public view; his works prove his knowledge and the zeal to serve; these are the marks of sincere scholars.

may Allah further raise his ranks, and benefit the ahle-Sunnah through him.

 

I respect the brother's sentiments but I feel that a better analogy would be with Sayyidī AlaHazrat [rađiy'Allāhu anh] himself.

Whereas Imam Kawthari sometimes went overboard in his criticism of even those ulema whom the ahlussunnah hold in high regard, alahazrat ('alayhirraHmah), despite his love for Imam al-a'azam, never left the bounds of etiquette. I have mentioned this at least twice on the forum. His manner of mentioning those sunni ulema who criticized Imam al-a'azam - it is a lesson in adab and in keeping the honor of the great untouched.

I do not remember sidi abu Hasan using harsh language against anyone who, even if he criticized alahazrat, directly or indirectly, could still be accorded some benefit of doubt.

See the posts where he replies to habib 'umar speaking on the sunni-dayabina dispute and the one about the late shaykh 'usaid-ul-haq badayuni and this person called "sh. Loay" who said that he did not consider alahazrat a muhaqqiq - even in his case, aH gave him the benefit of doubt until more of his "researches" came to light and only then did he refute him.

these are my observations and I felt the need to clarify this because we know that one of the lies the dayabina have spread in order to malign alahazrat ('alayhiraHmah) is that he was hot-headed - whereas the fact is that he ('alayhiraHmah) was not like some of the other scholars of the past who sometimes were unduly harsh in their criticisms. His fatwa are a testimony to this fact.

And do not forget what keller wrote about alahazrat ('alayhirraHmah) -

The analogy used by the brother could have been misunderstood hence I decided to share my opinion about it.

Finally, this is not a veiled criticism of shaykh al-islam Imam al-Kawthari (raHimahullah). Just differing with some of his stances.
