Yasin Qadri’s argument 1. Sayyiduna Ali is the most learned (A’lam) from the companions. This is proven from many Ahadith. 2. The most learned is the superior (Afdal). This is proven from the Qur’an. 3. Therefore Sayyiduna Ali is superior from all the companions. I was surprised he wasn’t aware of the difference betwen 1) Afzaliyyat min kullil wujooh 2) Afzaliyyat Juzwi 3) Afzaliyyat Mutlaqa. Sayyid Zukfiqar Shah Saheb had to explain this to him in simple terms towards the end.
