'ada' and 'shokh'

    what about shokh?
     
  2. these are two common words in urdu poetry--both sacred and profane--which are difficult to translate. they convey a whole range of subtle meanings which english, as far as i am aware, does not have exact equivalents for.

    'ada' could mean grace, airs, coquettishness, flirt, tease, coquetry, airs and graces, etc.
