My point was, if he is able to read about the founder of TJ (who are desi) and defend this group on a public platform, why isn't he able to do the same with Deo's books? Nobody is asking him to learn urdu to read about them either. Saying he doesn't even care to research it is just laziness and/or fear of alienating certain people who are around him.

    Just be consistent.

This is very weird, why he should not care when he knows what their beliefs are like imkan e kadhib, and he knows that deobandi elders disrespected RasulAllah alaihi afDalus salat wat-tasleem, hifz e quran and keeping Muslim identity is more important than the respect of RasulAllah alahi afDalus salat wat-tasleem?

It's not easy to give Shadee the benefit of the doubt tbh.

    1. He knows for a fact that the deo's believe in imkan kizb. He's seen their current english speaking preachers state so explicitly. It's not difficult for him to reach out and realise that ALL the deo's (not laymen) believe this. And if so, and such a belief takes you outside of Ahlus Sunnah, why does he continue to hang around with them?

    2. He has stated in previous videos that certain statements made by the deo's is kufr. If so- again, why does he still hang around with them? He knows enough English speaking deo's that he can very easily understand the reality of the situation. Heck, even a read of Keller's IKT would tell him 'these guys actually did say these things and this is how they justified them'. It's just that Keller's conclusion was wrong- but he admits they said what they said.

    3. He doesn't need to research the urdu and re-write Hussam al Haramayn. All he needs to do is takfeer the statements of those english speaking murtads that have been circulating recently.

    4. He lives in the USA and his first obligation is to speak against the likes of Hamza Yusuf and others like him that reside in his land. It shouldn't fall on people who live outside of America to speak against their deviance. Imagine the scholars of India didn't say anything and left it for the Malaysians to speak against qadiani filth, for example. Yes, he has spoken against perennialism to a degree but he still says stuff like the following:

Let's take a man like Sh Hamza Yusuf. My differences with him are out in the open on the Study Quran and the UAE. But if I saw him face to face, no matter how upset I was about an issue, he's my elder, and my first teacher. "Do not forget the virtues between you."

By the way, since I'm already on this tangent, read the post by Shadee, the reply by Rami Nsour and the follow up from Shadee here on perennialsm:

To summarise what Rami says- perennialism is kufr but the person isn't a kaafir due to taweel. Shadee says he agrees 100%. This is disgusting and not dissimilar to what Hamza said! Oh, it's taweel baeed (far fetched interpretation). No, you fool- the person who believes in the universal validity of religions is a kaafir, no matter their reasons for interpretation. And to doubt it is also kufr.

Can you provide a link where he praise Alahazrat? He has said Barelvis are more strict than others.

    Cmo
Cmon give others the benefit of the doubt he's a non desi to begin with. Additionally, he also has on numerous times praised Ala Hazrat and regards him to be the reviver of his era. He also has blasted the notion that Allah can lie and other blasphemies/idocies that deos tend to hold.

I agree but it will be a lot harder with Dr. Shadee since he said Tablighi Jamaat followers are pious Muslims. He also speaks highly of its founder after reading about biography about him. But he states in the clip below he didn't read the statements of the Deo's elders or cares to research if they said it.

We should forge links with such scholars.

When Devs are so active in the West, it is hard to convince such people they are wahabis and they accept insults towards RasulAllah ﷺ.

It takes time. And we just need to do a lot of groundwork and publish works and maintain contact with them and eventually, Allah Willing, they'll see the truth.
