    Does anybody have any links to or information on the perennialist use of sihr (magic) and shayateen in their "spiritiuality" to simply coerce or mould people in to a certain viewpoint, and "hal" etc., (or false spirituality) or even harm people, if their (TUR perennialsts, for the example in question) theological ambitions are felt to be threatened?

    or they may spread misinformation, to basically distance themselves from it, or critique it, of how psuedo new-age movements are inversed by their use of magic and shayateen etc..

    it is opined that they want to control the entire discourse in Islam? "full spectrum dominance", a complete hegemony.
    also, that some people want to change and control Traditional Islam rather, perhaps, like early christianity to fit their pagan/or even neo-platonic narrative. it is thought that this is just one of the challenges of the present Muslim Umma, (no. not "whore" ummah as one their minions wrote, perhaps it is a typo, and they meant to say whole, and if the former is the case, why go around pretending to be Muslim? maybe some other objective?).

    people maybe more than happy to see those who call themselves Muslims in disparate groups (who consider themselves in the Sunni sphere), and who knows, even have a hand in helping these rifts to be furthered (you know agent provocateur? proxy type stuff etc "but were the good guyies right?" cue-californain accent (resemblence to anyone coincidental as they say in the movies)), only than to come along and have everyone united under ling/schuon/nasr (i thought he had an ismaili background and we know "traditionally" (pardon the punn), enmity they have against Sunni Islam) etc, (TUR, the middle abbrevative "spells" unity, and the vertical/horizontal dialectic, and hijacking of the Shadhili tariqa, not just tariqa but Islam itself, or an attempt is being made, it would seem (excuse the ian dallasesque lingo, the guy who made hitler a hero of the 20th century, wont mention what he said)), banner rather than the Salaf al-Salihin, (the Sahaba al-Kiram, the ahl al-Bayt, and their students) radiullahu ta'la anhum ajma'in. if people just considered the way of the Salaf al-Saliheen radiullahu ta'la anhum ajmain, if they just limited themselves to them the ahl al-Sunna wa al-Jama'a, it is hoped there would be real unity, bi idhnillahi ta'la.

    its either guenon/schuon/ling/nasr et al. or your Rightous Predecessors radiullahu ta'la anhum ajmain , thats the choice, that some would like to coerce: their worldview. nobody is saying their is not anything useful in there works (TUR) but that for the layman is like mixing urine with pure water, and it ceratainly, does not help if individuals get planted in various settings and try to establish themselves, for example, as translators in the Muslim community (or Muslims heartlands, like the colonials of old, and point out how Islam is in decline, in the masses, but still not like catholicism, its decline has been worse, by this they mean the tradition (and which is in their mind still valid, as a path to salvation and some would still marvel of the hermeneutics in christianity as being numerate etc..and hint at the veracity of the Qur'an al-Hakim, because then it will put it on an equal footing to the Bible, so that they can push forward their own agenda), but nonetheless it is providence that they (TUR), will be the replacement) and working on Islamic texts or in some other capacity (or even poets) and shamelessly peddle perennialist material at every opportunity, (or waiting for this, you know the build up, "hi, you knew me all along". "i'm just like you"), a gradual approach or a surprise at the end.

    and behave, well, with the sincerity of a modern politician, "machivelli eat your heart out." this may seem as a "hermeneutic of suspicion" (term borrowed from catholics), but, we certainly do not want to go down the path they are on.

    the following would be familiar to some, was translated by someone:

    Imam Dar al-Hijra, Imam Malik ibn Anas, rahmatullahi ta'la alayh, said,

    maa salaha li akhiri hadhihi'l-ummah illa ma saluhat li awwaliha -

    "Only what was right for the first of this ummah will be right for the last of it."

    or,

    Nothing can heal/revive the last of this ummah but what made the
    first of the ummah strong/healthy" or something like that.

    (1)Yusliha or Yasluha i'm not sure about the right one.
    Yusliha -> revive/heal
    Yasluha -> be right

    (2)Saluha- could be translated into "was right" or
    "healed/revived/recovered"

    There is another saying:

    "Lan ya'tiya akhiru hadhihi al-ummati bi afdhala mimma jaa' bihi awwaluha" .

    "The last of this ummah is unable to come up with something better than what the first of this ummah came up with"

    Imam al-Shatebi, rahmatullahi ta'la alayh, I'atisam

    and another thing, why do all these perennialists prance around as Malikis?
    is it because the Maliki madhab... it is said, it has a revival every 500 hundred years, and in the perennialist thinking process they'll believe everything of course, quite apart from the studies that take place on muslims and Islam by some people and the history with potential threats, in the present and future. so if there is to be a revival why not control it, (instead of the "exclusivism" of the Sunni belief sysem, replace it with something more palateable or "we are not having a khilafate", they may say scornfully. why not replace that system of thought all together? as one example of their distaste of Traditional Islam. and also instead of the Suluk of the real, the Islamic, the Sunni Imam al-Junayd (and no he was not a perennialst), rahmatullahi alayh...indoctrinate people with something else? (other reasons maybe identified).

    maybe, some more later.
