    Hadath Akbar means ghusl necessary.
Hadath asghar means one does wudu.

The ruling is for both, obviously depending on which is necessary.

So if the time is that short that he can't do wudu or ghusl if either of them are needed, then he does tayammum.

Questioner mentions Fajr in FR because that was their specific situation but BeS makes it clear this is for any salah.

    ---
He would be sinful for delaying so much but even if it's out of laziness, this is what he'll do because if he goes to do wudu, he'll miss prayer.

Its mentioned in BeS with reference to FR that a person should do tayammum and read his salah if the time remaining is not enough for him to do ghusl or tayammum

Then he should do ghusl or wudu and repeat his salah,

In BeS it is stated without specifying a particular salah and in FR the questioner mentions fajr specifically

I have tried looking at other books for an answer but I have had little success

If those more learned than myself could please explain whether:

If this is to be done when one is only in the state of hadath

If this is to be done for all salah and not just fajr

If this is to be done when (Allah forbid) one is in this situation because of laziness and not any valid reason which would make the remaining time little

    Jazakumullah Khairan
