so, as a shaykh ul islam, why's he disregarding a sunnah ghayr mu'akkada? though not sinful, it is still disliked to leave sunnah ghayr mu'akkada [bahar e shariat says naa pasandeeda]. i feel the ulama should be strict on even the ghayr mu'akkada so that the public don't make light of the sunnah. --- btw, this is just a reply to his assertion. otherwise, a fist full beard is wajib, not sunnah ghayr mu'akkada. khud badalte nahin ahkam ko badal dete hain huwe kis darja ye mulla e jhang be tawfeeq
Read the following risaalah in sha Allah Tabaarak wa Ta'ala it will clarify the issue for you. Islam aur Darhi Islam and the Beard by Allamah Mufti Manzoor Ahmed Faizi Rizvi radi Allahu Ta'ala 'anhu http://library.faizaneattar.net/Books/index.php?id=420 Mufti Sahib Qiblah has answered the objections on this issue.
He says that growing the beard (without considering the length) is Sunnah Mu'akkadah. And growing one fist, is Sunnah Ghair-Mu'akkadah. 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sgy_uhYmsBk 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXsvGRTMha4 Can anyone explain this matter?
