only because noori bhai asked me to. you should thank noori bhai for the favour. oh, if it helps: i have not changed my opinion that you are an idiot - you keep vindicating my stance.
i have deleted SS post - because it was publicising the indiscretion of an individual. that particular speech has no relation to islamic affairs. sub'HanAllah, didn't he get any other time to backbite than in ramaDan? --- i criticise nizamuddin for the sake of an islamic principle - what nizamuddin does in his spare time is not my problem and i won't bother with it. i criticise obaid for his praise of hindu idols - and the ignoramus who mutiyur-raHman who equated obaid's praise of raam with imam aazam's debate with an atheist. but their behaviour in private and their personal affairs are of no concern to us. ---
Well Abu Fadhl promised us that he will reply in this thread: http://www.sunniport.com/masabih/showthread.php?t=8536&page=2 This was his post: Thank you for valuing my opinion and asking me to write something. I have always said I am against the slander of any Sahabi, in fact the slander of any Muslim which is why I objected to the language used by Mashaddi Shah Sb. I have not watched the clip yet but if there is any factually incorrect information in there then I will make a comment. He posted this on the 16/12/2010 and he still hasn't replied here till today. Instead he finds it easy opening topics on Shah Sahib. He hasn't replied in Mufti Zahid Rizvis topic either!
To Abu Fadl: if the swearing was coming from Pir Abdul Qadir would you condemn it?Watch this space.......
That's why I said i'm not too concerned about the Sultan Rai impersonations but the language used is clearly abhorrent and there is no way you can justify him swearing at people's mothers, fathers and sisters; it's not about any personality or individual (and we should not target anyone for the sake of it), it's blatantly wrong for someone to use such language against a person they don't like. Even if he has difference with Prof. Tahir-ul-Qadri is it correct to swear at his father or abuse him in that way? You yourself were praising prof. Sb. a while ago. It's even sadder to see you glorifying it.
ahlul bid3ah have been called dogs of hellfire in hadith and by our elders. Ala Hazrat too says that kafirs are worse than dogs and pigs and calling them such is permitted, but they should not be unjustly hurt.
have some fear of Allah abu fadl! anyone can tell this video has been selectively edited and title slides added.indeed it looks like a lot of different videos put together. i know you brothers do not like qibla pir sayyid irfan shah sahib because he is exposing your batil beliefs but please, if you want to refute him, or try to, do it academically. about the word "kutta" (if said at all as it almost sounds like parkootiya from the clip). if i say, "the dog went to the yard and fetched the bone i threw it!" and someone edits it to just leave the words, "the dog" and keeps on repeating that phrase is that the same thing as saying I swore on the minbar? Or if I am quoting is it wrong? Even calling miscreants and deviants dogs of hell imho is not wrong.
Before anyone take me the wrong way, I have listened to speeches of Syed Irfan al-Mashaddi and i respect him for being a syed but I am finding many of his speeches very disturbing and it is not language that is suitable for any syed or alim to use. I am not too bothered about his Sultan Rai (Pakistani actor) impersonations and lyrics but how can such vulgar and rude swearwords be justified in anyway whatsoever from such a holy position? Can one of the knowledgeable brothers such as Abu Hasan provide an answer. What do the muftis and ulamas say about swearing in this manner (as a lot of people are asking questions about this masala)? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pF0CYdMi5qQ&feature=player_embedded
