:s1: I recently heard, by chance searching on google, the following shaykh from Palestine and it is amazing: http://www.assabile.com/mohammad-rachad-al-shareef-112/mohammad-rachad-al-shareef.htm Shaykh Muhammad Rashad al Shareef - especially his recital of Surah Alaq! Allahu Akbar!
My favourite Qari is Qari Saad Sultani and qari abdal basit, beacuse both have very beautiful qirat and recitation of Holy Quran
I really like the voice of Qari Sadaqat Ali and Qari Abdul Basit. They have tremendous voice , they can made any one to cry.
I had a few surahs of his and his adhaan. I have to go through my old computer and my old collection of archived CDs to see if it was backed up before my computer died. Shaykh Ahmad Abu Ghazaleh is a gem of a person. Does he still live in Brisbane, Australia? Would love to see him again.
Shaykh Ahmad Abu Ghazaleh. He is the son of my murshid, Shaykh Hazim Abu Ghazaleh. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oK5_XH3u744
Is that a principle of Usul or Islamic law? Otherwise innocent till proven guilty must be applied. Anyways, we are really discussing the same thing in two threads...this one and the thread on whether salah is valid behind a salafi. Perhaps it's better to continue the discussion in the other thread.
I would rather be safe then sorry doesn't apply here. No one is telling you to take your knowledge from them. As long as they are reading the qurain in one of the well transmitted qira'a, then you have no problems. But if they make up a qiraa or recite the quran incorrectly on purpose, theen I agree with you.
thanks for the advice, but i'd rather be safe than sorry. once i know they're sunni, i can listen. until then, i'd rather not. http://www.sunniport.com/masabih/showthread.php?t=7001
but you have to be certain they have innovated beliefs. You can't just assume they also have the same innovated beliefs as the group they are associated with. majority of modern day quraa only know the Quran...they really don't know much about areas of fiqh and aqidah (know enough to get them by).
whatever their recitation or voice is like; we should not listen to it due to their innovative beliefs. an innovator once came to one of the salaf and wanted to recite the qur'an before him. the shaykh refused. the innovator said, i only want to recite the qur'an, nothing more. the shaykh still refused. when the innovator went, the shaykhs disciples asked why. he said that maybe due to his good recitation, i would have developed a soft spot in my heart for him and begin to like him. hence, even if it's for recitation, do not listen to wahabis/deobandis/shias or any other non-sunni.
One of my favourite qari is Qari Barakatullah Saleem of Afghanistan. Mashallah!! Very nice voice and amazing tajweed.
I already said i am not a fan of Sudais or some of the other Saudi recitors. But to say their lack of perfection in Tajweed is because they are wahabi is absurd. His lack of perfection is more to do with him trying too much to beautify his voice and not concentrate on the finer points of tajweed. The youtube video you posted has nothing to do about Sudais...it is about deobandis. Deobandis and sudais are worlds apart. Sudais has no problems in his makharijul huroof or his pronounciation of letters. He is an arab for heavens sake.
It is purely sane not absurd as you claim. Let me give you a brief example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9v-k422AQjM
My statement: Who: SUDAIS, DEOBANDIS, WAHHABIS What: Are bad at qirat Why: See Sidi Abu Hasan Ridawi's post: __________________
Although i am not a big fan of Sudais, your statement is absurd. What does the science of tajweed or qira'a have anything to do with him being a wahabi? He still recites in the qira'ah of Hafs An Aasim Rawayati Shatibiyah..which is one of the valid qira'aat and the most popular.
I would say that Sudais or any of the Wahhabis and/or Deobandis are incompetent when it comes to qira`at.
