    437. What a man says when his foot goes to sleep

    964. 'Abdu'r-Rahman ibn Sa'd said, "Ibn 'Umar's foot went to sleep and a man said to him, 'Mention the person you love most.' He said, 'Muhammad.'"

Why did the translator not add 'Ya' in the translation.

The Deobandis have done the same in the version publicated by Darul Ishaat.

The text of the Hadith [matn] is:

It has also been recorded by the two following: [taken from a separate post on Sunniport]

    i) Ali ibn al Ja’d in his Musnad (no. 2539, see also Tahdhib al-Kamal of al-Mizzi and Tabaqat ibn Sa’d below) as follows:

ii) Ibn al-Sunni in his Amal wal yaum wal Layla (no. 171):

    1. Al-Adab Al-Mufrad is Imam al-Bukhari's[ d. 256 AH] second most well-known work; a collection of about 1300 narrations on Islamic etiquette and conduct.

    Imam Bukhari writes:
“Abu Nu’aym related to us who said that Sufyan related to us from Abu Ishaq from Abdar Rahman ibn Sa’d, who said:

Ibn Umar had numbness in his leg, whereupon a man said to him:

“Remember the most beloved of people to you”, so he said: “Ya Muhammad”

Not that great translation by Ayesha Bewley, but still read this Hadith al-shareef of our Habeeb salAllaho 'alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam

    639. If someone is not shy, let him do whatever he likes

1316. Abu Mas'ud said, "The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Part of what people know of the words of first prophethood is that if someone is not shy, he can do whatever he likes."

    634. The two-faced

1309. Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "The worst person is someone who is two-faced. He is the person who comes to one group of people with one face and another group of people with another face."

    635. The wrong action of the two-faced

1310. 'Ammar ibn Yasir said, "I heard the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, "The person who has two faces in this world will have two tongues of the Fire on the Day of Rising.' He passed by a stout man and said, 'This is one of them.'"
