  2. Yes, Sh. Samir is absolutely fine, hafizahullah. He is a medical doctor, faqih, qari', sufi and much more... Sh. Abdur-Razzaq al-Halabi has praised him immesely. He is a stuent of Sh. Adib al-Kallas, Sh. Abul Yusr `Abidin, Sh. Muhammad Yasin al-Fadani etc

Sidi Wadood: SunniPath give financial aid, which I know from personal experience. They are not cheating poor muslims. I give up. Let the balanced reader decide.

So, getting back to the original question in hand, I take it that Shaykh Al-Nass is a Sunni and the said institute is OK as far as can be gauged) for learning purposes??

I listened to one of his discourses on the status of the ahl al-bayt found on marifah.net.
It was very, very nice...if you can, listen to it here. http://www.marifah.net/-audio/audio/audio/the-status-of-the-ahl-al-bayt.html

In summary, our love for the ahl al-Bayt is because of their connection to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and so should we also love the blessed companions. and so did they also love each for the same reason.

These people loot innocents by trapping them under the lure of "sufism". People run blindly to them. I bet the new schools in Morocco and yemen would also be charging similar.

Only rich western-economic minded sufi wannabees can afford these schools. No wonder the salafis (mostly poor african americans and arabs) have stayed away.

Its all in the name of halal money making.

My friend (an african american from the East Coast) asked Zaid Shakir as to why does Zaytuna Institute charge

4500 dollars for an 8 week summer arabic intensive?????!!

He replied, and I am not quoting exactly, that Arabic is expensive.

What kind of an answer is this? I thought Shaykh Nuh said that Imam Zaid was a man "with no nafs". What is this intensive? A Gold Rush? If Imam Zaid was in our position when he was a kiddy student over there in Abu Nour, then how would he have felt if someone would have thrown such an answer on him, or did he really have 4500 dollars to pay for an "arabic intensive"

Unfortunately, zaytuna college, qasid, and other similar endeavours heralded on deenport are there only for the rich. While, the vast vast majority of Muslims are poor.

    Salam alaikum,

I dont see why people have a problem with the money aspect. Muslims like others need a source of income and it is halal. True that when i was a student i couldnt afford these things and so used to download as much as i could for free, and that option is still there to many who cant afford or who have an issue with copyright.

The place where for me it is too much is when you are charged to enter the masjod to attend such talks. In the below, it seems like some hall, so there will be costs involved in renting etc, so more understandable.

  8. Sidi, I have repeated this time and time again yet you do want to listen! You get your fee waived if you cannot afford it. This has happened to be ever since I studied at SunniPath. What is your answer since whenever I brought this up, you have ignored it.

What an inappropriate statement. Sure, go ahead and analyze their views, but you cannot judge an entire Tariqa. What a rediculous statement.

I would like all brothers to know that the downfall of zaytuna college, qasid institute, sunnipath, seekersdigest, and others like them is because of the ripping off they do of innocent students who want to seek to learn arabic in these dajjali times, these worst of times, these most brutal of times.

We should instead strive to donate and provide free arabic education, or at least the meagre amount in these WORST OF TIMES.

If Sunni Institutes like habiba institute get into dunya, and start charging money like zaytuna college, qasid insitute, sunnipath, amounting to thousands of dollars, then unfortunately we too will end up like the tariqa of Shaykh Nuh, that is, into dunya, money.

We Muslims in the West must develop and revive our Awqaf!

Please heed this advice. We must donate and provide extremely affordable education, just to cover the administrative expenses of the students.

Habiba institute should look at itself once more. These are dajjali times, Muslims are worst in these times, we should strive to volunteer instead. Imam Ghazali did not pay thousands of dinaars to get educated at the prestigious Nizamiyya Madrasah in Khurasan. He lived and studied on a waqf, which was donated, established, and administered by donations and hard earned money of great Muslims!

    A bit expensive!!!

No, erm, yes he is mashallah an excellent sunni scholar. I had the opportunity to attend some of his sessions at sultan bahu in birmingham (the people behind takbeer tv) and it was brilliant.

    Shamaa'il Tirmidhi
The Shamaa'il of Imaam Abu 'Eesa Timidhi has a collection of 397 famous, authentic ahaadith, from which to glean the beautiful attributes, both moral and physical of the Holy Prophet – Peace and Blessings be upon Him. This particular collection of ahadith expand upon profound qualities regarding his very person and presence, character, manner of talking and smiling, down to the colour of his eyes and skin from which Muslims in all ages referred to over and over, for the purposes of both meditation and edification.

Is this course advisable/recommendable .......is it a Sunni Scholar and this Habibainstitute OK? Am being bombarded with emails and literature at the mo and am so reluctant to attend unless I can feel reassured of the genuine aqeedah.

    JZK.
