well, I was pleasantly surprised, at the richness of the collection and the number of manuscripts on the topic of mawlid. But I couldn't find the one I was looking for (if that is what you were hinting at).
a number of manuscripts on this page. if you are patient and scroll down, you may be pleasantly surprised. https://archive.org/details/thomasfisherarabic
. التنوير في مولد السراج المنير صلى الله عليه وسلم: لعمر بن الحسن ابن دحية الكلبي الأندلسي (633): ألفه للأمير مظفر الدين كوكبوري صاحب الموصل سنة (604)، وقرأه عليه بنفسه، فأجازه بألف دينار، توجد منه نسخة مخطوطة بمكتبة برلين]. from the link: http://www.alquatan.ma/Article.aspx?C=5611 which has a list of various manuscripts and where they can be found. --- apparently a manuscript of the requested work exists in berlin.
Salam e Masun. Someone has asked for التنوير في مولد السراج المنير of Shaykh 'Umar bin Hasan (raHimahullah). I searched the sites (not the blogs) listed below by sidi abu Hasan, using google's site-specific search but none of them seem to have it. If anyone has a link please share. jazakAllahu khayran
http://www.ebooks4islam.com/ mix books - includes binbaz etc; but also has shaykh buti's critique of la-madh'habiyah and standard hanafi texts. i found at least 2 books which i didn't have earlier. --- new print of ashbah; shaykh mutiy hafiz edition: http://www.ebooks4islam.com/2014/01/pdf_4149.html
if you are looking for a specific book, i can probably help (assuming it is available); else you can help yourself by browsing a number of book-indexing sites. below are from my bookmarks. one has to rummage, search etc. to find certain titles not unlike raiding a library... manuscripts in KSU links for book downloads feqhweb-4madh'hab fiqh books mostafa http://kt-b.com/ http://www.mahaja.com/library/manuscripts/ http://waqfeya.com/ http://arablib.com/ http://www.ketabpedia.com/ this link for rafidi/shia books; some sunni, anti-wahabi books as well: http://www.narjes-library.com/ http://read.kitabklasik.net/ http://alssunnah.com/library/default.aspx http://isnaduna.blogspot.com/ http://hanafiya.blogspot.com/ http://malikiaa.blogspot.com/ [for some reason it is being redirected to a dead-page; maybe the curator of the page is doing some fixing] try this one instead: http://elmalikia.blogspot.com/ http://chafiiya.blogspot.com/ http://hanabila.blogspot.com/ http://diwansunna.blogspot.com/ http://www.moswarat.com/home.html this one has collection of manzum texts (versified texts): http://mandumat.blogspot.com/ http://www.feqhbook.com http://www.alwaraq.net/ ------ this link is quite tricky, and do some circus, you will get the hang of it. have downloaded a number of useful MSs umm al-qura library ============================= and of course, the mentally stimulating DLI: http://www.dli.gov.in/ i have downloaded a number of old books - including original editions of deobandi works, magazines etc. it is a challenge because transliterated names are crazy, a book of aqidah can be found anywhere from geography to psychology; and to make matters worse - an arabic, farsi, urdu book can be found in any of the three language categorisations. i have been able to download maybe hundreds of works which may be considered 'rare' in this day and age. wa's salam.
@Aqdas @abu Hasan Could yourselves or any other brother's please share any links to Arabic books by Sunni Ulama, any topics, ideally rare works if possible. Ps if they are already listed on another thread then please just post the link to that, I did have a bit of a rummage on some threads but wasn't getting far due to lack of time on my part. Also if there are any Arabic works that have been translated to Urdu those will help and also any works in farsi will also be of great help. Jazakallah Khair
