    As-salamu 'alaykum

    "aw kamâ qâla ('alayhi s-salâtu wa s-salâm)", this is normally said after citing a hadith for the purpose of respect and caution, and it means "or as he said". What is your question exactly?

    i know a khatib who, in the jum'a khutba, says aw qaala qama. is it the same meaning and is it ok to say this?
