AlHamdu liLlah mufti mujib ashraf has done ruju from his former stance that praying in moving train is permissible.
I couldn't read the Bareilly Shareef fatwa properly. In my very limited understanding, isn't qiyam (standing) mandatory in fard and wajib salah? So if salah can't be performed standing while in train or airplane, then it needs to be repeated. Right? (although I have seen few individuals performing salah with qiyam near the emergency door space during the hajj flights) Is the basic issue determining the permissibility/impermissibility (i) the movement of the train/airplane; (ii) continuous change of direction; or (iii) inability to perform the salah standing up?

Does anyone have the reasoning behind how the ulema reached the conclusion that fard and wajib salah are permissible in a moving train?
The really major one is currently being held in Bareilly Sharif. You should try and attend. Watch the Elders in their element.
