in the life time of the great sheikh of multan hadret zakariya multani allama sayyed Yusef Ghardaizi (silsila chistiya) came to Multan from afhganistan. On hearing this hadret zakiria sahib sent one murad with a full glass of milk to allama sayyed Yusef Ghardaizi on seeing the glass of milk he smiled and put a rose in the milk and sent it back ( this was a sufi discourse hadret zakaria sahib was saying that multan was full of allims and wali's, and hadret allama sayyed Yusef Ghardaizi was saying that multan could accomodate him as he was a different type of shikh to the ones already there) One day a man travelled 40 day to become mureed of hadret sayyed sahib when he got to Multan he asked a few people where he coul;d find hadret sayyed sahib as he wanted to become a mureed, the people told him oh you are too late he has passed away yesterday, the man cried and cried dejected he went to the sheikhs makam and maade duaa sayying "oh sheikh i traveled 40 days to be your mureed i will not go back until i become your mureed or i will die here (he said oh sehikh my aqeeda is that the awliya are alive so i will not leave) then from the grave a hand came out and he took bayah on hearing this people came to the makam to see for them selves, the sheikh gave bayah for 40 years after this even, untill some of the sheikhs of multan came to his makam and said no one wants to take bayah with us please give us a chance. after this time the sheikh stopped giving bayah. his makam in multan is still visiable and the hole to his grave with a vail over the small hole where the sheihk took his hand and arm out of to give bayah. he is regarded as 1 of the 3 great sufi sheikhs of multan the others being hadret zakariya multani and hadret gazali-a-dowraan sheikh ul hadith hadret allama kazmi shah sahib multani
