I know halloween is haraam to commemorate. I want to know the ruling of urf (customs) that have lost their original meaning and reason and have completely transformed into something good or neutral from bad. There are many things like this today but I can't find any definitive text on this. I know the fatwa changes with time and customs are important for the Mufti to alleviate hardship. Any help and references would be great.
