when i first made the infographic, i had to rely on an online source for the numbers. i have now redone the numbers using imam majduddin fayruzabadi's basa'ir dhawi't tamyiz. i am also sharing the excel sheet with the numbers - if anyone wishes to use the data for a different visualisation or project. the excel sheet can be found on the miscellaneous section of the ridawipress.org download page. in sha'Allah, a guide to the infographic will also be released soon. download v2 of the infographic: https://www.ridawipress.org/wp-content/uploads/quran-info-hires.pdf
planning to release it as a slide show in sha'ALlah. am currently working on adjusting the stats using a standard reference (letters, words, ayat etc.) which will also be released in the companion guide. until then, accept my apologies. --- the ikhtilaf in numbers is due to the manner of counting - do we count لا as one letter or two? are the mushaddad (doubled) letters counted once or twice? this is the reason of the varying numbers, and as suyuti has pointed out, the numbers and counting in itself is merely one of academic interest and holds no benefit the common reader. the reason we put it in the infog - is to evoke interest, to make people think and get an idea about the qur'an. and since the infographic may be cryptic to most, i decided to write a companion guide explaining various elements in the infogfx. wa billahi't tawfiq.
Is there a text version to this as my pdf cannot display this to its fullest to to it being high quality (both low and high res)
sorry for not making the comment properly, actually what I forgot to ask is, what software do you use? and thanks for the info you shared regarding sketches. Download PDF - High Resolution Download PDF - Low Resolution[/QUOTE] can
Salam, brother, can you please tell me how do you make these infographics? i want to make a lot like these, I also have experience in editing(like photoshop etc) sorry for being so off-topic, but i just cant help it. its beautiful. can
follow us on twitter: infographic about the glorious qur'anhttps://t.co/1oAJCjOiodhttps://t.co/xtkbeRBbmy pic.twitter.com/rAiCVojnUm— abu.hasan (@ridawipress) January 21, 2018 --- incidentally, we had to remove some sections to make space.
very simple. take a topic, gather information (and if you already have, well and good) - make a rough sketch and then put it in the infographic. obviously, fonts and colours - you may want to try out various ones to see which one works best. since you have experience in graphics software - then you will manage item placements etc. in other words, if you have the info - graphics will follow.
unlike the acknowledgement page on books, this one page does not afford the space to mention names of brothers who reviewed, corrected and made suggestions. many thanks to: abu Nibras, aqib qadri, unbeknown, bazdawi, esfak, abdul-rehman and aqdas. --- as with historical information, there may be various versions for one fact - name, event, place etc. i have relied upon itqan of imam suyuti and burhan of imam zarkashi where he has mentioned tarjih explicitly. in sha'Allah, follow RP handle on twitter for some more elaborations/explanations which couldn't be squeezed on the one-page infog. --- and yes; do not hesitate to point out any errors by mailing me or posting here. jazakumAllah khayran. wa's salam. [footnote: this is the first in the series of qur'an infogs planned. in sha'Allah. there will be some more. same as the seerat infographic - some aspects need ample space and hence it should be considered first in the series of seerat infographics.]
