Think shaykh mentions he wrote a tafsir of surah Ad Duha which is around 600 pages alone and incomplete, around minute 50
Other brothers can correct me, but I believe Ala Hazrat didn't complete the tafsir he set out to write. He only wrote tafsir of about the first 5 surahs/paara's, but yes that too went into hundreds or thousands of pages, afaik.
Really good interview. I liked the mention of how, during childhood, shaykh would be given lessons on tafsir etc as part of his tarbiyah. Oftentimes, people think tarbiyah is just to shout at the child to do x or y. Whereas really, inculcating love of religion in a child takes time and effort. The idea of reading to the child from religious books or religious stories on a daily basis, I feel like that is an excellent tool. Look at the result in shaykh himself. I didn't realise how much he had written either, don't know how easily his books are available, at least anything he has written in English? I also loved his idea regarding the encyclopaedia and I pray it manifests soon. He said he also teaches during the evenings but there are people who are already educated (lawyers etc) in secular fields, I'm guessing this will be in Cradley Heath or has he moved? He also mentioned how Aala Hazrat has written tafsir of hundreds of pages on even one ayah. Work of this nature should be published in Arabic if not already done so in order to spread respect for his maslak in the same way the deos have already attempted to do for their own school. Have only watched the first part so far.
very nice, mashaAllah, May Allah Ta'ala give barakah in him, in his knowledge, in his actions, and in family and rizq.
Beautiful inspirational episode. A must watch for students of knowledge. Amazing podcast. Mufti sahab is a gem of the ahlus sunnah.
