qibla mufakkir e islam muHammad imdad Husain pirzada sahib damatbarkatuhum told us a saying of sayyiduna 'isa 'alaihis salam which went something like this: don't expect to live forever. don't even expect to breathe that air out which you ahve just breathed in. pirzada sahib said normally people say if you go to sleep at night, do not expect to wake up in the morning but Islam [sayyidina 'Isa 'alaihis salam] said don't even count on breathing out the air you've just breathed in. see, i've read that all prophets came with miracles that were useful for their time. musa 'alaihis salam could turn a staff to a snake because magic was prevalent at the time. 'Isa 'alaihis salam did many miracles [life to dead; healing lepers] because medicine was great at the time at our dear Prophet sallAllahu 'alaihi wasallam was given the Qur'an because the arabs were masters of language.
