jazakAllahu khair brother Muhammadi. Also, incase brothers and sisters do not know, Calicut is in Kerala (South India), land of the Shafi'is.

If you notice in the manuscript that brother Muhammadi has posted on his website, it begins with the titile

'Imam al-'Adham Abu Hanifa raHmatuAllah ta'ala wa nafa'na bihi Ameen, ameen"

"wa SalAllaho wa sallam 'ala Sayyidina MuHammad wa SaHabihi wa al-tabi'een ila YAWM AL DIN, Ameen"

the libraries of haramayn were a treasure house until the management changed. authors used to send a special copy to madinah library (attached with the masjid an-nabawi al-sharif) for barakah and preservation.

these days you find shelves upon shelves filled with worthless books by bin bozo or some such salafi nonsense and only a small portion of sunni classical works are available in the public section. access to manuscripts is apparently restricted though, some framed samples are displayed on the walls.

anyway, here is a site that has some manuscripts to share on the net. i searched one at random for al-jilani and came up with this copy of al-fat'H ar-rabbani (13th Cent.AH /19th Cent.CE) and i chose a page at random and incidentally, a familiar passage crops up...
