i have put up a few posts in the Usul al-Hadith sub-forum about some aspects of this book. i have been skimming through it and it blows me away how alaHazrat is so scrupulous and covers all angles of a subject matter so there remains no need for further objections on that particular issue. the book is about kissing the thumbnails when hearing the blessed name of sayyidina rasulAllah sallAllahu 'alaihi wasallam. on www.alahazratnetwork.org, it is 200-pages and as i said in another thread, at least half of it is about some principles of Hadith. i have got to about page 140 and it is still about principles of Hadith as explained by the Hadith masters. i am amazed how alaHazrat references so many authorities and as i said above, he simply does not leave any room for an opponent to argue. neither my urdu nor my islamic terminology are too good so i miss the point sometimes but i do get the gist of things. and all the articles i've read about taqbil al-ibhamayn seem to stem from this book! jazakAllah to www.alahazratnetwork.org for providing this wonderful resource. 164 books so far have been scanned and i thank our brother for putting the correct transliterations in for 109 of the books with special characters.
