our master sallAllahu 'alaihi wasallam said:

man zaara qabree wajabat lahu shafa'atee

sayyid hamid sa'eed kazmi, son of imam e ahle sunnat aHmad sa'eed kazmi, said that some ignoramuses say that today, the blessed grave is out of sight. hence, the basharah [good news] of intercession is no longer available. the deniers say that we can only see the gates [jaali mubarak]; not the actual grave.

'allama hamid said that a definition of a saHabi is he saw rasulAllah sallAllahu 'alaihi wasallam in the state of imaan and died a muslim.

now, what about the blind saHaba? the common definition of a saHabi is he who saw the prophet sallAllahu 'alaihi wasallam but the more correct definition is being in the presence. hence, even the blind saHaba are included.

similarly, man zaara [whoever saw] does not literally mean whoever sees, rather it means who ever came in my presence and came close to my grave. so, even though we cannot see the actual grave, we are included the intercession.
