I guess the position of Kichaucha is well known for the likes of Tahir Qadri ( I dont know Irfan shah or the issue with him). Im not trying to defend him. The point is, if he is with them that does mean he is supporting or promoting them, maybe he does not know about their stance well or even maybe he knows and is trying to guide them. Allah knows best. Now if the mentionned people wants to meet him I would be kind of rude of him to refuse. Also it is mentionned they discussed the issues between Ahlus Sunnah so who knows what was discussed and what happened their Allah knows best. I think we should refrain from critisising, accusing or slandering Syeds unless we have proof. Aala Hazrat gave much respect to them. If a fatwa is needed from them, I dont think discussing on a forum would help. Rather contacting them and requesting a fatwa is better and would be clearer. Does that mean it becomes ok for them to entertain this lot? What is the position of Kichocha sharif on Irfan Shah? i.e. Sayyids Madani and Hashmi Miyan. Barkaat Chishti denies the ijma'a on tafdil al-shaykhayn, which makes him a deviant. Sayyid Noorani Miyan entertaining him is a promotion of him unless he now clarifies that he considers xyz wrong and bidah, etc.

I’ll be frank. The vast majority of these big Pirs and Faqirs etc do not deserve these titles. These days the bigger the idiot, the bigger titles he has. Shaykh Asrar Rashid and others are right to focus on reforming the “Barelwi” community. Many of these subcontinental celebrity scholars are living off the reputation of their grandfathers. I cannot remember if it was Shaykh Asrar or someone else who made this point… our lot rush to judge anyone who celebrates Mawlid or bashes Wahhabis to be a Sunni. And we rush to give people big titles and we even excuse their bad behavior and fiqhi mistakes by saying “Chalo Khayr Hai, Kam Ze Kam Aqeedah to Sahih hai na, Pakka Sunni hai” But the reality is that even the Aqeedah of many famous preachers is doubtful. You see so many times whether in Naats or Qawwalis or Mehfils where not just singers/reciters but also so called Ulama/Muftis/Pirs make basic errors in Creed. How many of them could teach the basic Attributes of Allah? Or the Attributes of the Prophets? Or teach people how to stay away from kufr. Or rationally prove Islam while tackling issues that the Ummah faces? I don’t comment on here that often and I apologize for the rant. We need to stop caring about what celebrity Pir X says about Pir Y what his children or his chacha’s beta’s say or do. Shaykh Abu Hasan deserves a lot of credit for actually focusing on knowledge, real scholarship, and being academic instead of the typical emotional/half baked stuff you get from many so called scholars.

Irfan Shah has become deviated and we all know Barkaat Chishti denies the consensus on Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq رضي الله عنه being superior.
