Hindus do not own the saffron colour, nor does it exclusively represent Hinduism, perhaps Hindutva. This is similar to how LGBTQ community hijacked Rainbow. There is nothing inherently bad about saffron colour. Additionally, this phenomenon is only observed in the Indian subcontinent. Therefore, in my opinion, there should not be any stigma if a scholar chooses to wear saffron-colored amamah. Many scholars wear green amamah as it represents the gumbad e khazra. Historically, the green dome has had different colors. I have heard that there is still a blue dome underneath. Furthermore, these structures were built during the Islamic medieval period, and We still love them because we associate them with the resting place of our beloved Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم.

If maulanas had some courage they would highlight sati still being present in their religious books, exact same topics in their own vedas and puranas etc. so many other things that hinduism is well known for, the recent events in manipur being a prime example of all that is officially sanctioned by hinduism, if only our leadership had half a brain.
