As-salamu 'alaykum Please note that when the Qur'an is read aloud in the dhikr groups of different salisal (tariqas) this is not done with the intention of reciting Qur'an but as a wazifa. Therefore it would be jaiz, just as the 'uttering' of the Qur'an by a women in her period. But this is not dalil for reciting the Qur'an loudly in group with the intention of reeciting. According to 'ulama it is not allowed to recite the Qur'an loudly in a group, as it is wajib to listen to the recitation made by one - as the Qur'an verse says. Allah Hafiz Ibn Amin
I have heard a distinguished ulema say that the practice of loud recitation in group is not permissible in Qadiri tariqat, while the same is permissible in Naqshbandi tariqat. I am not sure about the stance of different school of jurispudence on this.
:s1: It's not allowed to recite the Quran in a gathering in such a loud voice that the voices of different reciters clash with each other. In a gathering the Quran should be recited in low voice.
Assalamualaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh, Please advise, with references, whether according to the hanahfi madhab, it is permissible to recite holy Quraan aloud together in group, i.e. in a khatam for example, where surahs or certain ayats are recited aloud together. Whether this contravenes the Ayat, "Wa Iza Qare ul Quran fastameu lah wa ansatu laallakum turhamoon." i.e., "when the Quraan is read, listen to it with attention, and hold your peace, that you may receive mercy". Jazakallah
