referring to the above: yahi boleN sidrah waale chaman e jahaN ke thaale sabhi maiN ne CHaan daale tere paaye ka na paaya tujhe yak ne yak banaya [alaHazrat] i read/heard that someone asked alaHazrat to write a Hamd [poem about Allah]. alaHazrat wrote this poem on their request but it is not only a Hamd; it is also a na'at. the verses mention Allah [Hamd] and rasulAllah too [na'at]. khuda ka zikr kare zikr e mustafa na kare khuda mere muNh meiN aysi zubaaN na kare so alaHazrat did not want to write a poem where the beloved is not mentioned. so, even in a Hamd, he included a na'at. the poem begins: wahi rabb hai jis ne tujhko hama tan karam banaya hameiN bheek maangne ko tera aastaaN bataya tujhe Hamd hai khudaya in another poem he says: zikr e khuda jo un se juda chaaho najdiyo wallah! zikr e haq nahiN kunji saqar ji hai
Assalamu ‘Alaikum! I agree with the brothers’ comments, the talk was fantastic. For those who weren't there (primarily) but even for those who were there (a reminder). These are some of the things the brilliant Shaykh (Abu Bakr as-Sudani damarbarkatuhum) said. Nothing is like Prophet Muhammad sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam. If we follow him, he will be with us (spiritually). Sayyidina Umar said he loved himself more than Rasoolallah sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, hence, the dear Prophet sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam told him, "You do not yet have it" (Iman) but then Umar said he loved Rasoolallah sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam more than anything, so our Master replied, "Now you have it". Noor al-Mubeen, the manifest light, is our dear Prophet sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam. Allah created everything for and because of the dear Prophet sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam. People always described the beautiful Prophet sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam as the 'Qur'an', even the Kuffar. There is not other mercy other than Muhammad sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam. On Yawm al-Qiyamah, all the other Prophets (‘alaihimus salam) will come to our Master sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam for intercession (shafa’ah). After Adhan, we should recite Durood (salutations/blessings) on the dear Prophet sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam. Instead, we see people talking whilst the Adhan happens. The light mentioned in verse 15 of Sura al-Ma’ida is our dear Master sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam. He is the Noor. He is not like us, he is different. The Sahaba used to say he is something else. The Noble Prophet sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam used to fast days on end (Sawm al-Wisaal) but when the Sahaba did this, they nearly died! The Qur’an says, Subul as-Salam (many ways), not Sabeel as-Salam (one way). So, there are many ways for us to find salvation. The dear Prophet is the shining lantern talked about in 33:46. He is the Burhan (the proof) and the light (noor). Until Yawm al-Qiyamah, our Master sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam will guide us. Until we follow and get behind the Messenger sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, we can never attain Jannah. This is a Hadith al-Qudsi. It is good to read Muhammad by Martin Lings but we must see the spiritual side and station of the blessed Prophet sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam by reading Ash-Shifa’ bi tarifi huquq al-Mustafa (Healing by recognition of the rights of the chosen one sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam) by Imam Qadi Iyad Maliki rahimahullah. He sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam has attributes that distinguish him from the rest of creation. No man can ever be like him. He lived all aspects of life. A shepherd, husband, farmer, leader, general, founder of state, advisor, judge, murabbi, mu’allim, example to others, ‘Abid, Zahid, Imam, Mufti and he was sent to the whole of mankind. There is a hadith which mentions that the Prophet sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said, “Do not put me beyond my rank”. He is the highest. We are not putting him beyond his rank. [We do not even know his rank, how can we out him beyond it! Sunni]. He never criticised, he only corrected. He gave good news, not bad and he made easy, not hard. Tawhid is a misunderstood word and concept. Tawhid is that ones heart is for Allah. You do all for Allah. He talked about the hadith which mentions that no-one is a believer until they love for their brother what they love for themselves and then mentioned the beautiful hadith which is our Iman, in which the dear Master sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said no-one is a true believer until he loves me more than anything (Bukhari, Vol 1: Hadith 13/14). Jibreel said to Rasoolallah sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, I looked in the East and the West, I did not find any man who lives like Allah wants him to love except that I found you Yaa Rasoolallah. I have never seen a man like you. The Sahaba used to talk about the degrees and stations of Sayyidina Rasoolallah sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam. Ibrahim was the Khalilullah, Adam was Safiullah but Muhammad is Habeebullah, the most beloved. Out of the 5 ‘ulul azm messengers, only Muhammad has been promised the Maqam al-Wasila. The Qur’an says we must rejoice (11:58 ). We are the ummah of Rasoolallah sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, so rejoice. Celebrate. The Shaykh then recited some poetry which his Shaykh used to recite. Muhammad is the best of men physically, in manners and is the most rightly guided to the truth. He is the Qur’an. He was not harsh, vulgar, didn’t find faults, didn’t make fun, didn’t harm anyone, didn’t hide anything in his heart. We need him to be saved from the hellfire.
