:bism1: [A Short Biography in my own words taken from Jaliyatul Akdaar was sayful battar] The Qutb of his time, the Ghawth Diya al-Din Syedina Khalid bin AHmad bin Husain al-Shahrazuri is from the lineage of Dzun Nurain Syedina 'Uthman bin 'Affan :ra: on his blessed father's side. He was born in the year 1190 AH approximately in the Qasbah of Qurra Dagh in the country of Shahrazur under the jurisdiction of the Wilayah of Baghdad al-Sharif. It is near Sulaymaniyyah about five miles away. He read the Qur'an al-Kareem there and Fiqh al-Shafi'i of Imam al-Rafi'i and Matn of Zanjani in Sarf and also NaHw. He then travelled to the nearby lands to master many other knowledges and Deeni sciences especially under the 'Alim al-'Amil wa faDil al-Kamil the Indian Sword Sayyid 'Abdal Karim al-Barzanji :ra: and Shaykh Ibrahim al-Bayari :ra: and Mantiq from Shaykh 'Abdal RaHim al-Ziyari :ra:. He then returned to Sulaymaniyya to read books on Hikma and Kalam and other sciences. He then left for Baghdad al Sharif to read Asul and master mathematics and engineering under teachers such as Shaykh MuHammad Qasim al-Hamadani. He then left for Syria to study under 'Allamah MuHammad al-Kazbari :ra: who awarded him with ijaza in Hadith and also Shaykh MusTafa al-Kurdi gave him ijazah in the Noble Qadiri Tariqah. He then visited Madina al-Munawwarah and Makkah al-Mukarramah and narrated of many spiritual events there in broad daylight. He used to sit near the ka'ba and read Dalail al-khayrat. He then returned to Sulaymaniyyah and studied. He visited India after many encounters of Muslims from there, and visited Shaykh Shah 'AbdAllah GHulam 'Ali al-Naqshbandi al-Mujaddadi :ra: Shaykh ThanaAllah Panipati al-Naqshbandi :ra: and Shaykh Mawlana Mirza Jan Janaan :ra: In Delhi he read poetry in many languages under many Awliya Allah. he read Qasidas of Shaykh al-Sayyid MaHmood al-Alusi :ra: and Shaykh 'AbdAllah al-Dahlawi. Persian Qasidas of Shaykh 'Abdal Ghani ibn al-Shaykh Abi Sa'id al-Mujaddadi :ra:. He resided in Delhi, taking the Naqshbandi Tariqa and doing khidma of the Fuqara there. He also met Shaykh 'Abd al'Aziz ibn Shah WaliAllah al-Dahlawi and gained numerous ijazahs in Tasawwuf and other sciences. He then went back to Baghdad al-Sharif. He then left for Syria where he met 'Allamah ibn 'Abidin :ra: 'Allamah ibn 'Abidin once saw in his dream that he was praying over Syedina 'Uthman bin 'Affan :ra: in the Great Mosque of Bani Umayyah. Syedina 'Allamah ibn 'Abidin then woke up and narrated the dream to Shaykh Khalid al-Baghdadi :ra: who smiled and told him that his time of death is near and 'Allamah ibn 'Abidin will pray over him in the Great mosque as he is from the progeny of Syedina 'Uthman bin 'Affan :ra: Syedina Khalid al-Baghdadi :ra: died some days later due to the Plague that had spread and Syedina Ibn 'Abidin :ra: did pray over him in Masjid Bani Umayya and he :ra: was buried in Damascus.
