This question crossed my mind when I saw Yusuf Pathan and Irfan Pathan's Holi celebration post. Although from the photos it seems like Yusuf didn't play with colors or anything, just clicked the photos, I noticed his previous posts had the "Happy Diwali" and this one had "Happy Holi" in it.

I have seen our Ulama say that partaking in such festivals or even wishing "Happy Diwali/Holi" or "Merry Christmas" is considered Kufr because these festivals are themselves Kufr. So one is recommended to do Tajdeed-e-Imaan and Tajdeed-e-Nikah (recommended because it's probably not an intentional Kufr). But if someone influential does it, then he/she must publically repent because this influenced their followers.

The Pathan brothers and many more Muslim celebrities (not including the famous bwood actors) usually do follow this ritual of partaking in these festivals, or atleast just put a wish on their social media. In the past I have previously seen standup comedian Munawwar Faruqui's story about one of the festivals as well (I don't follow him anymore).

So are we required to not consider them Muslims? Because I have seen Yusuf Pathan is a practising Muslim (compared to other bwood actors who are Muslim just by name). So does that mean I have to believe that he isn't a Muslim anymore? This confusion is weird because it is also Kufr to say a Disbeliever is a Believer.
