Not strictly related - the following is more when two words are repeated:

the Kalam of Allah contains phrases such as:

وكلام الله موسى تكليما

and for even more emphasis, the masdar itself is repeated twice, in addition to the verb:

إذا دكت الأرض دكاً دكا

this is known as al-maf'ul al-mutlaq, and is not without purpose - rather, it increases the beauty of the balaghah. one primary reason is emphasis.
