I'm still iffy on elmasry as I'm not fully sure about what actually transpired in the talk where he supposedly said or agreed (per DH, and then he supposedly clarified and/or retracted) on freedom of speech to blaspheme against the Prophet 3alaihis salam - in other videos he was harsh on the devbandi thinking donkey in salah blasphemy and conveyed the Maliki position on these kind of losers... but this much is right - rafidi mehdi hassan has been canvassing too hard against trump - and pacifying democrats, liberals and the woke movement for supposedly protecting Muslim identity politics is severely delusional. On an Indian scale - it's like diluting deen and making concessions as many many Muslims did since independence for the sake of the congress and the nehru-gandhi family that supposedly protected Muslim interests and identity. they didn't, they walked all over it, all the way until pacifying hindu terrorists in the demolition of Babri Masjid which started the rise of the bjp above and beyond their expectations!
