He seems like the deobandi version of william lane craig, many of whose arguments are based on semantics that lead nowhere.

Regarding whether we should get into these kind of topics, my personal experience with wahabis has made me realise that while desi wahabis don't bring this topic up much and instead focus on taqlid, istighatha and bida, the foreign wahabis do target ahlus sunnah with their defective understanding of wahdatul wujood. Having some understanding of it to refute their patently false assertions might be necessary at times.

Our admirer has something to say about this article

    https://barelwism.wordpress.com/2024/11/16/barelwis-the-prophets-ﷺ-existence-is-assumed-imagined-metaphorical/

Can't believe how incredibly thick the guy is...

He's taking out his angst on our ulama catching devband out on imtinae nazeer.

Let him either say openly that he's anti tasawwuf and anti wahdatul wujud like the wahabis, or give HIS explanation of it.

Please note, he's not engaging in an honest academic debate here, purporting to be a proponent of wahdatush shuhood as some other mutasawwifeen are. He's just making a mess of everything in his raging madness, vengeance, and hatred, much like the zionist regime at this point in time.

Disclaimer and aside - I say openly that studying and engaging in tasawwuf and such esoteric topics is a complete and utter waste of time for common people like us when we should be acquiring knowledge of faraiz and wajibat at a bare minimum. See what has become of our gatherings and naatkhwani mehfils etc! We'd be lucky if we just learnt proper sincerity and khushu3 in actions before we die. Its a joke that people who can't make it to the mosque for Fajr, wanna go and protest for Palestine at whatever location at 11 am! In our times and circumstances we can safely "confine" our tasawwuf to abundant salawat upon the Prophet 3alaihis salam.

Akhirah is not directly discussed in the paper regarding whether it remains metaphorical in the same way as dunya!

As per my understanding of this topic, akhirah life is more "Real" and permanent for us, but compared to Allah's true existence, even that reality remains dependent and could still be considered metaphorical in a way. So, while it's the ultimate stage of existence for us, it still reflects dependence on Allah's true reality.

Maybe you or someone else can answer this: As our existence in this life is majazi, will our life in the akhirah also be majazi?

Just read a great piece on Wahdat al-Wujud by Al-Sayyīd Ahmad Sa’īd al-Kāzimī, translated by Shams Tameez. Solid translation, relevant for today and addresses common misconceptions. Check it out here https://www.openmadrasa.org/read/wahdatal-wujud

    Worth a read!
