Shaykh Munawwar Ateeq Rizwi answers:

All four schools of fiqh have agreed upon the invalidity of a marriage contract between a Muslim and a Zoroastrian as explicitly illustrated in the words of Imam Kamal Ibn al-Humam, arguably the greatest Hanafi faqih of the latter half of Islamic history, “The Four [Schools] concur on this.” (alaiyhil arba'ah) Thus, a scholarly consensus is formed. (Fat'hul Qadeer 3:230, Raddul Muhtar)

Ibn al-Humam continues refuting the opinion of the minority who say the nikah is valid and that the Zoroastrians are from the people of the book 'ahlul kitab'. Hence, he substantiates the authenticity of the madhab's position in combination with collective Qura'nic and hadith evidence. (Fat'hul Qadeer 3:230-231)

Besides, one should always stick to a specific madhab and not seek legal evidence which opposes the scholarly verdicts, as the scholars have more knowledge and understanding of the nature of evidence than others.

(Zartasht)? Are they Ahle Kitab too?
