I didn't see it all. Just scrubbed to 1:07:00 mark and anyone interested in taking Asrar to task for his alleged Sulh kulliyat, can listen to his stance on sects uniting for a common anti-imperialist cause.
In the examples you gave, there was no actual contradictions for which you implore the shaykh to clarify. In reality these are non issues. Where I agree to an extent is that his approach on issues has evolved over time but that is a natural consequence of life experience and the changing nature of his audience. That's pretty normal for any scholar. In this thread, I have not read anything from you that tells me the Shaykh needs to clarify or now hold a position that repudiates a previous one. All I have read is 'Asrar should avoid politics' or 'Asrar should clarify', without any strong argument pertaining to why he should. Just let it go and move on. These are non issues and I am sorry your tone and reasoning do indicate that you have an issue with 'this version' of the Shaykh.
To clear your misconception, I have no issues with Asrar and where is the pettiness? It’s a fair and objective response about Asraar changing his positions. I have been listening to Asraar for the last decade and a half and many of his historical positions on various issues have changed. It is a general observation, and there is nothing wrong with this but there must be a clear explanation from Asraar to why he has changed his views and thoughts? It seems like he’s always on edge and has a counter point without being objective in his response, an early Asraar would give a different answer to the ones he is giving now.
Firstly, I do not believe Shaykh Asrar has covered himself well in the reaction speech because by the fat shaming comment, it deters from the real issues with sell outs like Khalid Mahmood. Secondly, with regards to 'contradictions' in his positions. The first one is not mutually exclusive because both Muslims themselves and the local councils should strive to keep their areas clean. On the second point, where is the contradiction because if 'they're changed men', why would they be judged by their previous sins. It's clear you have an issue with the Shaykh, and you will not be the first . However, at least bring up actual issues rather than just venting your ire on non-issues. It just makes you seem petty.
Asrar should stay out of politics, his recent videos with Afsar and Ahmed are very contradicting from his historic positions on various issues. Historically Asrar himself says that Muslims are responsible for keeping their areas clean from litter, now he has adopted a different position saying local councils are responsible and they have let inner city areas down. Further more over that last decade Asraar has gone on to detail about the issues of drugs and drug dealers, so far that one should not even perform their Janazah. Yet when Ahmed says he is in touch with those who have done their time for their crime and are changed men Asraar stays quiet, he should have made clear clarification like he has done previously.

roger waters of pink floyd also discusses the british elections and the independents. he hammered piers quite well!
you do force the UK-politics challenged guys like me to google could this be the reason for Asrar promoting Tiger who endorsed this Murray person? https://www.craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2024/06/in-conversation-with-richard-medhurst/ https://www.adnan4mp.co.uk/ purely from a british politics perspective, who would make a stronger candidate for Islamic interests? really not a leading question, i'm just curious. for somewhat related context, there are people (Muslims of any shade) in india who ostracize people like Asaduddin Owaisi and rather support secular non-Muslim candidates who they feel will be a more viable option than Asad, and yet there are those who support him at any cost. both sides have various different right and wrong arguments

Not rhetorical at all. I don't live in the UK. So I asked a fair question: Asrar Rashid is routinely blasted on this forum for this or that action/comment or for sharing the stage with this guy or that guy, with thinly veiled insinuations of him being Sulh kulli. So my question in response to your again thinly veiled allegations: Say clearly who (Sunni/Barelwi who did good work for the community) has Asrar Rashid directly or indirectly accused of: 1) bid3ah 2) Sulh kull 3) or trashed their good work (this thread itself is a good example of Asrar Rashid's good work being trashed) What were the reasons/substantiations he gave for his allegations? Now please do respond since you said: and
What kind of rhetorical question is that? You can work it out, the very people who say Asraar is free from cults are the first to defend him when someone is critical of him or his ways.
The same could be said about the many 'others' doing the work and Asraar Rasheed doing the same with them, if the shoe fits.
