Is it any wonder the Muslim influence and voice is eroding when we just sit and wonder about the intentions of those trying to do work. It's not a dig but a general observation on our state. Who needs enemies when we make enemies out of ourselves.

If the aim is being reliant purely on materially manifest means then to achieve aims, entering politics is almost unavoidable. Yes, some fairly serious change can come from outside those corridors but by and large the deals are done in them and not in the house. But, the system itself is self regulating by design. The most 'radical' of leaders it produced were spat out in record time and others didn't make it that far. These independents will soon find deals being offered to them, either compromise and negotiate or be relegated to the back benches and clips on social media. Reminds of when Pir Allauddin Siddiqui campaigned for a blasphemy law to be introduced in the UK.
sorry but i think we all need to get out of this naivete that we can only mingle with tanatan Sunnis on any and every matter that affects our lives in the west! no one is asking you to make galloway or khamenei your peer-o-murshid and i'm pretty sure Asrar Rashid ain't doing that himself please remind yourselves that you're living in dar al harb where Islam is attacked from every angle, and people are celebrating & cheering the slaughter of your brothers and sisters in Palestine and outlawing even valid non-violent dialog and criticism. your children's thoughts are being policed in schools. the list is endless. we need to choose our battles and who we strategically use for political ends. again, no one is making an imam or hujjatul Islam out of galloway or the iranians. keep your eye on the immediate objective - doing your part to influence public opinion against the imperial aggression of the west + israel alliance that's what Asrar is trying to do here. i'm no mouthpiece of his, but i see the strategic thinking there i've spoken against the murtads of bollywood more than anyone else on this forum, but lets just say for argument's sake that someone like shahrukh khan is publicly pro-kashmir and always issues scathing rebukes of modi and the bjp - despite still being "married" to a hindu woman and working in the degenerate bollywood industry - would it or would it not make sense for an astute Muslim public figure to leverage the guy's voice only to that end? i'm thinking loudly and it's an honest rhetorical question, to which i don't have an educated mufti's response. my own stance is - in times and situations like this, if at all the question is put to me, i would leverage anyone but open murtads, so qadianis, ismailis, and shahrukh khan i would NOT USE. but i will gladly use people like rahul gandhi or barkha dutt - again only to that specific political end. a mufti saab perhaps might draw a distinction between the riddah of qadianis and the zandaqah of the ismailis and the bollywood stars who bow to idols but again also photoshoot themselves doing Eid namaz. yet another mufti saab might as well chastise me and say that rahul gandhi or barkha dutt support the kind of people you just said (bollywood stars, qadianis, ismailis etc.) are off limits! i have long wondered about this myself - is the suppression of Uighur Muslims blown out of proportion by the west and western msm only to maintain their image of a benign 'we welcome Muslims with open arms' entity while china is the Islamophobic crook? (i don't think china is a cleanskin pro Muslim, but i do try to ponder who/what is the lesser evil between them and the west) i don't know from first hand experience about china. in a lot of ways we're still living in the 80's we're all just buying the propaganda we're fed ever since Oct 7 i've been very selective of what i do or don't believe, or want to believe from the news - long story short, i'm by no means perfect or even astute enough, but i think before we all sit to analyze the news from any type of kuffar's media, mainstream or fringe - we ought to seriously ponder over Surah Hujurat Verse 6. i think that's something missing from our lives when we consume all this amount of real and fake news overload! no you're not supposed to praise the individuals or groups with those putrid beliefs. you USE their nation's name as a political entity/banner for international political leveraging when it suits you! the general image/banner of a political nation is different than the aqaid of individuals or sects! india has many Muslims including ulama and awliyaa. but as a political entity/banner india is nothing other than a hindu rashtra. that doesn't mean that you or i are takfiring all the Muslims of the land! maybe we in the west ought to counter western imperialism and farcical democracy by using the china/russia narrative as an antidote against it before we run out of "freedom of speech" maybe the Muslims in russia or china need to leverage the western narrative as the antidote against their (chinese/russian) aggression! i don't think he wants to chill with him. i just think he wants to use his narrative to raise public opinion against western imperialism. sorry brother, but if you think you or Asrar Rashid or anyone (Sunni) can work wonders and do grassroots level work to influence public opinion (political opinion for Islam's interests) as best as you can - all without sharing the stage with this or that guy from xyz sect or religion, then you're mistaken. then you should follow the hadith on end of times and live in seclusion you can say Allah's Help is sufficient for us, we don't need to leverage/use this or that person/group. i will say - true, but this duniya is the abode of action and we are commanded to take the action we feel is the most right. that's why we have fiqh. my stance on political matters for Islamic/Muslim interests is - leave aside open murtads and zanadiqah, but use the rest. Allah knows best.

I don't like the way asrar rashid likes to talk about Iran as part of the axis of resistance. Resistance to what? Am I supposed to praise a nation filled with imbeciles, a large percentage of whom are closet atheists themselves whilst others curse the mothers of the believers and consider sayidunaa Abu Bakr to be a disbeliever and some who believe other kufriyaat such as the tahreef of Al Quran Al Kareem...
