as for who we are, ask 'kattarsunni' - he seems to know us well. if not, ask Shaykh Yaseen from Birmingham, UK.

really? you really think the Shaykh cannot make decisions for himself and has to be informed about events like this? if you watch the IslamiQA videos on Youtube, someone asked the Shaykh this very question - so no point making assumptions.

its called da'wah. we advertise to make people aware. its not often you have a scholar, a sayyid, an 'arif billah, a master of islamic sciences coming to the UK from the blessed land of Shaam, delivering lectures and guiding people to Allah t'ala and His Messenger.

as for the photos, what you are talking about - we have one page for photos on our website, and several of them are of different Shaykhs.

we're not quite sure why this is an issue for you or anyone.

Everybody? next time you switch on, tell me which scholars are not salafi and answer questions on there. maybe 1 in a 100. in fact, i doubt there is one regular scholar on the channel who is not a salafi/ikhwani.

 

simple:

1. our CD sets consist of the words of Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi. are you trying to suggest the Shaykh is not sunni? why else would you not buy them?

2. we have plenty of free material on our website - go and take a look.

3. all our events our completely free, unless it is to raise funds for some cause.

4. our organisation is non-profit. nobody takes a penny for their work

5. we rely on the donations of generous muslims, who will, insha'Allah, be rewarded for some of the good that comes out of our work.

if you hadn't noticed, the Shaykh spoke on Islam Channel, not exactly a Sunni channel, and at the GPU, not exactly a Sunni conference, and has previously spoken to different groups and audiences who welcome him. the Shaykh has the ability to change the hearts and minds of people, which is why we advertise on different forums - and we have some success, masha'Allah by doing so.
