I'm new to the forums and not sure if Shaykh is still going to be answering questions that are unrelated, but I wanted to know whether you have been able to talk to Sh Gibril Haddad regarding his article on takfir of the Deobandi elders, as I understand you have known him for a long time and I found some of the justification and points mentioned similar to that of Nuh Ha Mim Keller - if you do not want to answer that in order to avoid fitna and polemics I totally understand. BarakAllah feek.

There has been some form of limited contact via phone calls and emails. However, since Sh Abdullah Bin Bayyah has given a formal fatwa to recognise 'Israel', I have ceased contact. I believe I gave sufficient amount of detail on the dangers of 'Study Quran' and Perennial philosophy, as well as other issues. But as I said, there is only a limited number of times you can beat a dead donkey, idiomatically speaking.

Our task is to rationally and with reason dismantle false arguments and heretical creed positions. As long as that task is done the obligation has been fulfilled. It is not always essential to obsess regarding the individual. It maybe necessary sometimes, however, like Qadiyani, for instance.

Whilst some bicker, or just concentrate on rudud, the futile type rudud, and not other work, Hamza Yusuf and Dr Tahir get on with building and running universities to make their manhaj mainstream.

 

While it’s really nice that Shaykh Asrar is answering all of our questions, shouldn’t we let him take a break? He’s been on here for hours…

 

Shaykh, I understand you were able to speak to Hamza Yusuf, perhaps over a year ago. Some notes were made regarding the phone call and there was an understanding that further contact would be made to iron some issues out. Did Hamza ever get back to you, is there any movement on that front or has he gone back to radio silence?

 

With the will and might of Allah Most High, the issue is buried. No attention will be given to false accounts in the future. We as Sunnis have greater work to do.

 

Unfortunately there are not many 'Barelawi' works published in the Middle East. Dar alImam Yusuf alNabahani intends to change that.

There a few mistakes the Indo-Pak callers have made:

1 Not doing enough work in the Arabic publishing houses.

2 When approaching Arab Ulama, only bringing up takfir issues before presenting other work. Like Muhaddith Ahmad Surti has a commentary on Munyatul Musalli. I have commissioned that to be typeset with proof reading and tahqiq under Dar alNabahani. That book will exceed five volumes and will be greatly appreciated in the Middle East. We need to bring out all our Arabic turath in good quality and not just issues of takfir.

3 The third mistake is infighting over furu'. Like the infighting over pictures and videos. Waste of energy and time.

4 Some factions developing an Ahbash type mentality, seeing things in black and white. Some of these people have a Khariji mentality. They cannot define what is 'sulh kulli', its qawanin, dawabit and usul. Many of them are ignorant of usul altakfir. Just read Ahle Qibla ki Takfir by Allamah Muti alRahmna, or Usule Takfir of Pir Muhammad Chishti, and then compare what they have written with some of these extremists who claim to be Barelawi but have done zero work on Ala Hazrat's Arabic heritage.

They do not even give the manuscripts to those who will do work in some cases.

I have not saw this article. It was me who recommended the translation of the response to Faysla Kun Munazara into English.

Zameel visited me at the masjid a few months ago and I sent him a digital copy of 'Ittihad alMuslimin' by Allamah Abdul Sattar Khan Niyazi. I await for him to get back to me to discuss that privately.

 

I have stated my position regarding him last year in reference to a specific question relating to ascribing swearing to Allah Most High in the 'Deoband Revisited' lecture.

I have yet to read the fatwa and sit down at least once with him to see what he has to say before giving my final view.

It was disgraceful to hear what he said regarding Sayyiduna Abdullah Bin Umar (radiyAllahu anhum) and if our paths cross I will query regarding that also.

I had mentioned this on the other thread, and am repeating this request here (at first I thought @Aqdas was moderating this thread live, but as posters are posting their questions, so am I).

Can you and Shahid sahib please release a joint video or individual videos showing a signed letter by both of you (I understand one person is in bradford and one in birmingham) with time and dates that says something like:

'all our previous disagreements/disputes are now null and void and we have no differences. we are brothers on a unified manhaj and maslak, anyone who posts our videos/content of our disagreement or dispute (barring valid ilmi ikhtilafat) prior to this date will be himself answerable to Allah for sowing discord among Sunnis'

This is only to pre-emptively and permanently stop fitnah mongers from spreading further fitnah on this matter.

 

i have not seen it and i am not interested. shameless liar, caught out a dozen times and we have wiped the floor with him, but he is hell bent on attributing a flaw to the Creator. he may not fear the Creator, but the adhab and zillat is already coming his way - that he persists in attributing falsehood to the Creator is itself testimony that he is on the path to hell. his name evokes disgust and only the shariah prevents me from sending la'anat on such a lowlife who keeps insulting Allah ta'ala. may Allah ta'ala humiliate him.

As we are allowed to ask something off topic, as long as shaykh is willing to answer:

Shaykh, you mentioned the works of Ala Hazrat being translated into arabic, which is fantastic and may Allah reward and bless everyone involved. What other kind of work is being done to alert the shuyukh (in arab lands) to the deobandi fitnah or is it a case of the horse has bolted and it's too late to lock the barn?

I understand you may have provided some ulema with The Killer Mistake and other publications, I don't know what kind of reception you've had when breaching the topic, etc?

 

With regards to the kidhb issue, I heard that the deo Zameel has released a new article. Have you or @abu Hasan have seen this?

I have not read the fatwa as of yet. The reason being that me and my team of students, including Dr Umar Faruq of Dar alImam Yusuf alNabahani, are bringing out more than 20 titles in Arabic. Those titles include the works of Ala Hazrat, translating them into eloquent Arabic and proof reading them. Currently, I am proof reading Allamah Ghulam Dastagir Qusuri's work against Qadiyani, which was the first work written against Qadiyani. We are also bringing out Allamah Qusuri's work against Gangohi's Kidhb position. To tell the truth my energies are better spent on such endeavours...I was proof reading it yesterday and that work has been put on stall due to this issue...

I also have another English work to be released by Rigel Publishing...

If people on this forum want to support this work of real 'Barelawism' and not what the Wahabis claim it is, please contact us, the Dar, and your help will be appreciated. We want to bring out the entire Fatawa Rizwiya in eloquent Arabic and superb publishing, as well as smaller works of Ala Hazrat like Ahkam e Shariat, Irfan e Shariat and Fatawa Ifriq.

 

What is your stance on Syed Irfan Shah?

 

it is your choice shaykh. i will only put in a word as you requested me to moderate. and the choice to answer qs not relevant to this topic is yours.

irfan shah issue is a different matter. we hope he and his students would have been as forthcoming and showed a genuine interest to clear confusion of the common sunni muslim.

but they are still digging after having dug up a cavern...
