I don't think ALL OF THEM would have the guts. (The letter being real or fake is another matter). after all, Saqib Shaami holds a UK passport, and some of them would need to visit UK in the near future.......... those who could not condemn Padri for the crime at wembley would not find the courage to speak against this "misdemeanor" of Saqib Shaami. look out for the Indian state / national elections: many of the so-called sufis will probably be vying for party tickets.
He says, "In soofiyon ka deedaar keejiye. Allah ke waliyon ka deedaar keejiye." It is sad that these "Soofis" turned their backs on him after he spoke some truth.
Official response from All India Ulama & Mashaikh Board to the unethical and unprofessional act of Saqib Shami!!!! Before disrupting the conference with his dramatic antics and overhyped refutation, Saqib Shami on a human and professional level should have adheres to the following etiquettes: 1- He knew the chief guest of the event was Tahir ul Qadri and this event was to be attended by Sufis around the World, who according to Saqib Shami were already deviants and Sulle Kulli. Why did he accept the the invitation in the first place? Was it just to be in the good books of the Indian government to obtain easy visa for future events? 2- He may argue that he came to refute Tahir ul Qadri and others. Well if this was the case then he should have contacted the AIUMB team and we would have happily organised a private live debate with him and other scholars and sufis including Mr Qadri, but he did not do so, and in the process disrespected and dishonoured the trust of his hosts. At least he should mentioned this issue to us (AIUMB) before at least as a gesture for our hospitality. 3- He was ignorant of the current situation of India and the reason behind this Sufi Comference. We Indians live in India with many different religions and Islamic sects. On one hand the Hindu right wing wants us defeated and on the other hand Wahabis have been conspiring against our leadership. Ahlus Sunnah and Sufis have no presence in the political structure of India since the partition. We wanted to show the government our Unity and strength. However we believe that since Saqib Shami faced a lot of criticism on Social Media and by the scholars of his native country, he felt obliged to clear himself more than refuting others. In the process he exposed himself as a reactive Molvi instead of an active Sufi scholar. If the government of India takes any notice of his naive speech then he has surely caused more damage to Ahlus Sunnah while strengthening Wahabis. We condemn his shortsightedness in this matter. 4- As far as Aqeedah is concerned then know that AIUMB had always condemned Wahabism and will continue to do so. Also note that our scholars and sufis have supported Hussamul Haramayn and will always do till death. Why did not anyone notice that deobandi, wahabi or shia scholars were not invited but famous and known faces of Ahle Sunnah? This is why one of our prominent members Syed Tanveer Hashmi had to discipline Saqib Shami live on his face regarding teaching us about true Sunnism. We congratulate Syed Tanveer Hashmi for refuting Saqib Shami on the stage and on his face instead of behind his back. This is a true character of a Mujahid and Sufi 5- All these social media hypes about him refuting Tahir ul Qadri and showing everyone the true picture of Islam is baseless and genuinely disturbing. Refutation in a normal World happens face to face. When Mr Qadri was present in India and in the same city, then Saqib Shami should have waited on the stage to refute Mr Qadri, but he chose to escape from there. This surely cannot be an act of a true scholar or a Mujahid. A true scholar would have informed us about the topic of his speech earlier and then would have spoken even if we disagreed. To suddenly start refuting someone and then run away before the other party arrives is not an act of bravery but cowardliness. We condemn Saqib Shami's childish and unwise acts and appeal to the government of India to immediately deport him back to the UK for causing disunity amongst Sufis and citizens of India. We also demand from the Indian government to put his name on the 'black list' so that he cannot obtain visa to travel to India in the future and continue with his disruptive speeches. Note: This letter was signed abd agreed by all the Scholars, Sufis, academics and representatives of Khanqahs present in the conference. All India Ulama & Mashaikh Board 21/03/2016 New Delhi, India
I hope he meant it sarcastically as his camp are saying, if he did I salute him for what he done after watching that video and reading the official statement by the Mashake Board. He proberly won't get another visit to India again.
just look at their faces, they are all restless. he did give them quite an heart-attack. I wish he had not called padri a mufakkir and shaykh. And I hope he did not mean it. even if it was a publicity stunt, it was at the cost of and to the detriment of his hosts : ) that was some cheek!
https://www.facebook.com/PirSaqibShaami/videos/10154380391022841/ Mashallah Allama Pir Saqib done a wonderful job. He spoke about perennialism, wembley
Challo, may Allah give him the taufeeq to be more to the point in the future and endorse the fatwa of Sheikh Ul Islam wal Muslimeen Sayyidi Huzoor Taajush sharia hafizaullAh aswell as the fatwa from Ghosi shareef.
Javed Anand's (of Communalism Combat) take on Sufi conference. He too cites Hazrat Nizamuddin Awliya as counterpoint.
He is asking the murtadd tahir NOT to pray behind deviants; wonderful. as if salaah is farz on the murtadd. mind you; Dogtor Tahir does not consider known deviants out of islam, and prefers to pray behind them; but conversely he says that suicide bombers & terrorists are kaafirs. khuda jab deen le leta hai, to aqleiN chheen leta hai.
khoob pardah hai keh chilman se lage baithey haiN saaf chhupte bhi nahiN saamne aate bhi nahiN O how lovely is your veiling, for you sit hidden just behind the curtain! You neither cover yourself completely, nor do you come out in the open!
Seemed to be of a sarcastic nature? Yes, definitely sarcastic after he goes on to praise his counter-terrorism fatwa*. *sarcasm.
