That was not sarcasm. Anyone who thinks that does not understand the modes of speech. Saqib is a political individual. Prior to leaving for this conference, he went around telling people that he will "deal" with TQ. Now, regarding his dealing of TQ, I have a few observations [mulahazat]: Let me speak frankly; Sunnis need to stop worshiping Pirs - yes, I said it. This is the unfortunate reality. The truth of the matter is that Saqib has not refuted TQ, rather, he has contradicted himself and made himself look like a fool. He says that we have "Usuli" [principle] differences with TQ, yet he lavished him with praise by addressing him as "Shaykh al-Islam". Can you please provide me an example from the 1400 year history of Islam where the Muslim Umma has hailed a scholar as "Shaykh al-Islam" when he has deviated in matters of Usul al-Din. The last time I checked, some of the scholars addressed as "Shaykh al-Islam" were the likes of Ibrahim al-Bajuri, Ahmad Rida Khan, and numerous others. I find it ridiculous how there are double standards among some people. On one hand, they refute the perennialism of the Study Quran, yet on the other hand, they keep quiet at the perennialism of TQ. Saqib has not done what he said he would do, and that was to refute TQ. Rather, he has just tried to make it out that he has. Further to this, the Ulama of India condemned the conference. Who is Saqib to come there and then speak? Surely, the Ulama of the land know better. In India, people are losing themselves thinking that Saqib is the man and has done it for Sunnis - he hasn't done anything. He's deceived the masses like he has done on many occasions. Well done Saqib, well done.
which means he doesn't consider him a murtadd; I hope that the enmity starts, and he starts calling him a murtadd soon.
the sarcasm was't noticeable. He also said that there were many awliya present on the stage. that people were doing ziyarah of the "sufiya" -and that it was a blessed gathering of the Prophet (peace be upon him) - dard mando se na poochho kidhar baith gae, unki majlis me ganeemat hai jidhar baith gae, hai garaz deed se yaaN kaam takalluf se nahi kha idhar baith gae, kha udhar baith gae "behold these sufis, behold these awliya Allah" are these words sarcasm too? he seemed earnest when he said them. let's say he was simply trying to put them off guard. praising them at first and then delivering the blow. if so, he did it well - BUT - it was unwise nonetheless - the message the public received was not quite the one he ostensibly wished to deliver. no doubt it was a courageous move. but overall, his attendance and activities do not present a very convincing picture. Can't one argue that the move was simply a daredevilry with an altogether different purpose? husn-zann would prevent us from saying so but the issues surrounding him still place him in the gray rather than the white. as sidi aH said, we need to wait and watch.
saqib shaami ought to be commended for speaking out against TUQ, whether the latter was present or not is besides the point, he said what he did in the time that he was allotted. i'm pretty sure shaami knows very well what 'muqtada al-haal' is, but despite that, he endorsed ala'hazrat's fatawa, refuted Padri in a "peace conference", knowing full well it will anger the attendees & organisers. Although i agree with Mufti Aslam Bandyalwi's sentiments in that he should have delievered a crushing blow seeing as he wont be getting another invite anytime soon. as for doing musafaha with the butcher modi, i'm not going to make excuses for him, he should address that himself. Allāh táā'lā knows best.

The reference to sheikh Ul Islam and other titles used by shaami Saab seemed to be of a sarcastic nature.
This is the book, maybe someone can find it. http://www.huseyinhilmiisik.com/kitaplar/arabi/١٠- فتاوى الحرمين.pdf Shaykh asrar also mentioned a book by Shaykh Nabhani Rahimahullah. Anyone remember what the title was?
Hope the likes of Huzur Shaykh ul Alam Ghaznavi told the monkey worshipping pig modi that the flag of Islam will fly over Delhi again and Kashmir will become under his Ghazni and Muslim rule, In Sha Allah! I noticed Shaykh ul Hind left his Simnani Taj at home for the weekend. In Sha Allah one day we will see Shaykh ul Islam Madani Miyan putting pen to paper against padri like he did with jilani baba and getting an endorsment from Ghazi e Millat. This can be followed by the Taj poshi of Shaykh ul Hind with the Simnani Taj!
Saqib shami said that he came to see ashraf e millat, but if he has issuli ikhtilaf with napak padri then why came to a fan of napak padri? As for the audio posted by unbeknown, the speaker's resentment against ala hazrat is so evident. Their claim of being sadaat is absurd, an enemy of rasulAllah's deen or supporter of such enemies is not sayed to us.
saqib shami sahab did ruffle many feathers: these people would have us believe that since the sadaat kiraam are the descendants of the law-giver ('alayhis salaatu was salaam), they have the right to change the laws at will.
shaykh asrar said that in fatawa al-haramayn of ala hazrat, it is stated that the two conditions for a scholar to share a stage with deviants are: - he must be mutamakkin (very learned) - he must make very clear that their beliefs are incorrect and he must correct them. Does anyone have the page number or question number in fatawa al-haramayn where ala hazrat writes this.
I got the audio of padri's speech, he used the names of sufiya and said that they were declared kafir and zindeeq too, rejecting the matter of takfir completely, but he didn't mention that those very sofiya themselves declared many splinter groups being kaifr, murtad, zindeeq. He used imam ghazali's name, his ahyaa, and said even he was declared kafir, but cunningly didn't mention that that in ihyaa imam ghazali himslef declared many people as zindeeq. I have never seen such a liar in my entire life. He is one of the dajjals mentioned in hadith sharif.
Saqib hasn't done anything. He bottled it. Which sane individual would praise an individual who he has Usuli Ikhtilafat with? May I highlight the word USULI.
Me personally, I've never followed Janaab Shaami saab, I'v always just been very cautious of who I take my Deen from since I saw the downfall of TUQ many years ago. Firebrand speaker don't really appeal to me and if I'm not sure of someone I just don't listen to them or promote them, it's kept me away from many a dodgy shaykh so I think I'll stick to what I know works. And aH is right about the checklist. I guess time will tell, in the meantime lets hope & pray things take a turn for the better and this trend of Gaddari to Ahle Sunnah that TUQ Started, is stoped.
this can only make sense if he considers islam one of his enemies, for the dogtor murtad napak padri is an enemy of islam; otherwise for personal worldly disputes a sane muslim cannot embrace kufr.
